As promised, the temperature here in ol' Blighty sure did soar today. The sun shone, the sky was Promarker Sky Blue and I thought I'd do a spot of tidying in the garden before I slipped into my bikini...

Just managed to get a shot of my flip-flopped feet & the darn batteries on my camera ran out.

Apologies to those 'hoping' to get a look at my attractive buttock-clenching swimwear...I know you're all hugely disappointed!

There were some harsh comments on my last posting about my plans to be bikini-clad by the end of the week after promises of soaring temperatures. The thought of Moi in my thong-themed summer attire apparently had some viewers running for the hills, others reaching for a bucket & some requiring urgent medical attention & therapy!

I hope todays card goes some way to reassure my readers that Thunder-Thighs & Big-Bums are all the rage this season & therefore my plans are way down with the kids!

Rejoice...My Cuttlebug is Reborn!

Despite years (slight exageration) of intensive research into the delights of the humble Cuttlebug, questions on forums & sales pitches on TV, at no stage did anyone ever mention the ugly lines left by the embossing folders. What I hadn't realised was that everyone was working with A6 cards which fitted perfectly inside the folders, no one ever demonstrated on anything bigger.

It was the embossing I was seduced by...and the embossing I was disappointed with and so my wee stack of folders have collected a carpet of dust & remained untouched.

But no more...Hoorah! Hose down those folders and rejoice!!

I'm still experimenting but have found another way to use them.

The folder I've used above is Bird Call, the one below is Leafy Branch.

Nothing complicated, just cut a section of the embossed card (minus the ugly bit) and used some old Whispers inks & a cotton-wool pad to create a distressed inked effect & finished with glitter glue highlights.

If anyone has any inspirational uses for the cuttlebug folders I'd love to hear from you.

It's Valentines Day tomorrow and being the romantic ol' fool that I am, not only have I made OH a card but I've also made cakes. Actually I lied...in order for much beloved to make it thru' the night without a trip to intensive care for his stomach to be pumped...I've enlisted my own personal Masterchef (AKA Oliver aged 12) to throw together some festive delights. My role was merely to chuck on the sprinkle decorations.

Ballet Anyone?

I've never been light on my feet...more like a stampeding herd of elephants.

The resemblance to 'Moi' and these ballet dancing gals is uncanny. My legs are just like theirs when I wear my frilly tutu n' leotard (that image should get rid of some of my unwanted 'Spammers'!!)

My coughing n' spluttering continues and I ended up in A & E yesterday when something in my rib / lung department went 'pop' during a coughing fit leaving me 'blubbing' in agony. Thank goodness my OH had taken an hour off work first thing for other matters as I don't know what I would have done if he'd not been there. Thinking I'd broken something he rushed me Starsky n' Hutch-style to the hospital...there was no time to change out of my sensible Bridget Jones underwear but thankfully for everyone there was no stripping required for my X-Ray.

Result, nothing broken, just some soft-tissue damage (don't think he was talking about the Kleenex I've been hacking into) and instructions to take a 'rattling' amount of pain killers & chillax.

Cough! Sputter!

I've now had a 'chest infection cough thingy' (genuine medical term!) for 3 weeks, 5 days and roughly 14 hours. I've had a course of penicillin, some foul brown coloured cough medicine, dunked my head a couple of times over a a steaming hot bowl of melted Vicks Vapour rub & inhaled as deeply as my rubbish lungs would allow (whilst wearing an attractive nativity-style T-towel over my head) and now I've pulled the muscles under my ribs so it hurts to breathe n' cough.

Can I have a big 'Arrrr' ?

LOUDER!!!

Enough moaning by me...cough...splutter!

It'll be Summer by the time I can get another doctors appointment, so for now I'm off to 'google' for a man with big warm hands to rub my ailing parts with some deep heat.

Snow Joke...

It snowed last night...BIG TIME!

My kids got up all excited, wrapped themselves up in several layers of winter attire only to realise they had no wellies.

HA!HA!

When I suggested several weeks back that they should get some, I got the usual moan of how 'uncool' wellies were, that they'd rather stick forks in their legs than wear 'stoopid' wellies. So we came home from the wellie shop wellie-less.

I almost had the last laugh until I realised that much beloved & I had wellies, which would mean we'd have to go out in the cold.

Thankfully my quick-thinking-brain-cell was fully charged today so I said in a huffy-puffy-moany-ol-bag voice..."well... I guess you could use mine and Dads" (fingers, legs and other dangly extremities crossed hoping they would say 'yes')

Muppets! Thay fall for it everytime...so they played out, got cold, soaked thru' and shivering to the bone.

We stayed in the warm, turned the ol' thermostat up several notches & watched from the comfort of the sofa.

So a cold n' frosty card for you today.

Oh the memories of the classic school playground game British Bulldog. There'd be one person who was 'it' in the middle and everyone would start at one end of the school yard & then try n' 'leggit' to the otherside without being caught. It's probaly banned in schools now...health n' safety gawn mad!

Those were the days....sigh!

My son's ex-primary school (thank goodness he's left their now!!) banned everything and the kids were bored senseless. What happened to conkers, long lengths of elastic skipping, tag games & skipping ropes? We laughed so much at school and played in big happy groups.

I know it's not Spring yet...but I can't wait any longer...I can't stand it!

The whole house has been blitzed. If an object's not been touched in the past year, has a coating of dust an inch deep or hasn't seen the light of day since the last millenium then it's outta here!

I really, really must suss out Ebay. I've said it soooo many times before but everytime I visit the page, I'm filled with dread at getting it all wrong and find something more interesting to do instead on the ol' computer.

Morning Campers!

Apologies for the lack of card postings of late, lots going on at 'chez nous'!

I have, at last, got an official 'craft-station' to work at instead of the end of the sofa. My OH has bought a new desk for the computer so the old one has snuck its way in to the living-room & been adorned with all my stash that has previously lived on the floor (photos to follow - I'm so excited)

I did have a go at making a card last night, then found I'd bled all over the back of it following an attack by a can of baked beans earlier in the evening. I didn't realise there was blood all over my hand & jumper too...it was carnage.

Back To School...Boo!

Kids are back to school tomorrow.

Doesn't seem 5 mins since they packed up for the Christmas hols, the decorations went up and our balding Christmas tree saw daylight again.

Back to normality now...if 'normal' ever exists in our crazy house. The decorations, fairy-lights and even balder tree are safely stashed back in the loft, kids hosed down clean ready for school and bags packed.

The house will be quiet again...Boo! Hiss!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Oh boy have I missed you...yes...you too!!

I just love the build up to Christmas & the day itself...but once it's over I always feel a bit deflated & want to pack away the cards n' decorations (I know, what a Bah-Humbug!)

I did resist until today and now the cards are down and chopped up into next years gift-tags.

Whilst everyone else seemed to opening up iPads on Christmas Day, much beloved romantically bought me a 'kneePad'...hmpfh! But the romance didn't end there...oh no...I also got a patio / decking wire broom (I can feel your envy)...and...wait for it......a new garden Dibber!!!

Who said the romance is gone!!

Public Health Warning

Hey Kids!

Go careful out there this week...there's a lot of 'Trolley Rage' in the supermarkets at the mo'.

Only this morning I was standing, minding my own business, perusing the goods on a shelf when all of a sudden I felt my 'humble' basket being bashed...not once...but several times!!

I turned to see an elderly lady with her ram-raid-style trolley staring at me with eyes that can kill at 40 paces. She was practically burning holes in my head with her evil lazer look so I politely asked if I was in her way, to which she then turned up the heat on her mega-scorch lazer eyes & I moved aside for fear of death or worse!!

Who would think Christmas shopping could be so dangerous.

Morning Christmas Fans!

The final guest left my daughters party yesterday just after 6pm last night, bearing in mind they'd been partying since 11am & I'd be confined to the dining-room with Oliver who was going positively stir-crazy not having access to his Wii, let's just say it was a long ol' day!

The living-room was a mass of tinsel & paper hats but by the amount of laughter I'd say a good time was had by all.

As I write there's a party in the next room. My daughter Sophie has a bunch of her chums round for a festive gathering, I can hear music blaring, sounds like they're playing Twister as there are squeals (like girls make) and loads of laughing. Oliver is playing the perfect host to the girls (Boy!...Is he in his element surrounded by teenage females). I'll try & post some snaps later as they're all dressed up.

A couple more festive cards for you.

This one is Little Elf Mim from Mo's Digital Pencil, coloured with Promarkers & glitter, the bauble is shiney glitter adhesive paper, Anita's white snowflake stickers, mauve Bazzil card with MS loop punched corners.

This one is Little Elf Pipa also from Mo's Digital Pencil. This time the papers are from the DCWV Rosed Tinted collection and the giant white snowflakes are white card circles & I've used the MS loop corner punch to create a flakey effect.

Christmas is almost upon us, we had a flurry of snow yesterday to get us in the mood...bring it on!!

Can you believe it's only 10 days to go until the big day? With that in mind, the Dream Team have some last minute festive inspiration for you this month with our Blog Hop theme of...NON TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLOURS chosen by our lovely hostess Kerttu

So I've gone for a pink, white and silver glitter theme with my first card. This is Teen Fairy Pia, coloured with Promarkers and oodles of glitter (teeny bit of red, but don't tell!) by Mo's Digital Pencil. This card was a request from my MIL for her neighbour who has been quite poorly. She didn't want any words, just something subtle and feminine.

This gave me another opportunity to use my new Martha Stewart punch-all-over-the-page (stained glass) punch. So the background is shimmery,sage green Bazzill card punched all over except for the centre, the flowers & swirls are Anita's Glitterations in silver. I've kept the white glitter petal fillings so that when you colour with Promarkers, the colours are dragged over the glitter texture & leaves it more natural (I know what I mean, if I've confused you!).

Looking Back & Looking Forward...

Looking back over 2011 the highlight of my year has been becoming self-employed as a gardener & setting up my own business Tidy Gardens by Jane. I've met some wonderful people, who all wanted a gardener for a variety of reasons, and it's been an absolute pleasure working in their gardens. I'm really looking forward to next year!

My card today is to say Thank you & send Christmas Wishes to some of the special people I've met over the past year. Festive greetings to you all!

The tree's up, tinselled n' baubled til' you can't see anything left of the tree, fairy lights untangled & hanging in every room & outside too.

Yesterday we went to London for the day, a trip to M&M World which was on Oliver's Xmas wish-list, a 5 second visit to Hamleys Toy store (it was so busy, we walked in and straight out again!) and a mosey round the shops for my shop-a-holic daughter Sophie and then finished it off with a lovely meal & a walk round Covent Garden.

There was a 'String' band entertaining the crowds with beautiful music & crazy dancing when all of a sudden the Double-Bass player told us all to be quiet. There was one woman in amongst the whole crowd, who were singing, clapping & laughing along, who was on her mobile phone and she hadn't realised that everything had stopped & only she could be heard talking. There must have a been a couple of hundred people watching the entertainment, suddenly all quiet, listening to this poor woman on her phone still totally oblivious to what was going on her around her. We were all then signalled to point & boo at her, cruel I know...but hilarious!!!

Chrissy card's nearly all done now...phew! This one is Seasonal House on a Hill from Squigglefly ( 5 Seasonal House stamps), coloured with Promarkers & glitter. Papers from the Papermania Festive Frolics collection which I lurv!! Trees cut from the same papers, a lime, sparkly ribbon & snowflake embellie.

This is simply a gorgeous peel-off scene on an alcohol-ink based background.

This one is a gorgeous digi called Button Flower Bag from Sassy Cheryl coloured with Promarkers, papers from the First Edition Hideaway collection, die-cut rings using spellbinders, paper-punched dots, LOTV sentiment & flower gems.

And finally...an embossed framed card with a Craftwork Cards Botanical paper centre and a Kaisercraft rub-on sentiment.

There's more glitter than you can shake a stick at on this card. Red glitter paper background, the white, glitter snowflake (if you can find it) is an old Xmas tree decoration and the stamp was a freebie off a magazine coloured with Promarkers.

Recycled Tissues

Hmmm... it has come to my attention that there is a conspiracy in the tissue manufacturing world.

Some boxes are labelled 'Recycled Facial Tissues'...eugh!! That could explain why our house (The House of Colds) is permanently leaking in the nasal department...it's not our lack of hygiene, oh no...!

No...our disposed of snot-rags are simply being collected up in the dead of night by space-suit clad men, ironed flat & re-packaged as eco-friendly tissues again. As quick as we run out of tissues, off I skip to buy some more only to re-catch another snuffle. Clever ay!!!

WOW! Where did that past month go? It's Blog Hop time again with the Dream Team of Mo's Digital Pencil.

Our hostess this month is Lori and her chosen theme was to 'Make A Gift' using one of Mo's images.

I decided to make a miniature box of tissues using a box template found on the net to give as a gift to someone poorly to cheer them up. The image I used is Needs Mummy coloured with Promarkers with flitters of glitter. I've cut it out & mounted it to the box that was made using digi papers from the Valentines collection by Summertime Designs, printed onto card & then run thru' the printer again with the box template. A beautiful pink ribbon, a table confetti flower and glassy stem embellies to finish.

As the box didn't take long to put together, here's another gift idea. Why not make up a selection of cards for different occasions as a gift for someone else and gift wrap it as a beautiful present? For my card at the front I used Love Ya, again coloured with my promarkers, Docrafts Tulip collection papers with die-cut flowers & glittery sticker embellies.

It is indeed the weekend...yay!!!!!!!!!

My card today was made with a beautiful digi I've had for ages from Just Inklined called Three Trees. Printed onto white card with an embossed framed border & computer generated sentiment. The trees have been given an autumn feel (but could be adapted for any time of year) by dottily colouring them with promarkers & then adding Autumn Rose guilding flakes for a bit of sparkle.

Off to dig out my mountaineering equipment & to scale the dizzy height that is ...my ironing pile!

On the Punch!

In a 'rare' moment of madness last week I succumed to the Martha Stewart TSV that was available on QVC. As soon as I confirmed my order, panic mode set in wondering if I'd made the right decision in my purchase. I needn't have worried they're excellent.

The background is Papermania cardstock & I've used the 'Stained Glass Pattern All Over the Page punch ' to create the doily effect. The gorgeous digi is Country Birdhouse Duo from Sassy Cheryls coloured with my faithful Promarkers with glittery highlights. I've used the Embroidered Floral Edge punch to create a border strip with silver Ric-Rac ribbon. Sentiment is a LOTV stamp but I may change that to a new home one later.

Off to find things to punch...hahaha!!

I've gone a bit mad with my colour choice today. Papers & flowers made from the Basic Grey June Bug collection. The little girl digi 'Curtsy' with her 'Mahoosive' feet could only be from one artist and that's Sassy Cheryl. Coloured with Promarkers with a glittery trim on her dress. The flowers are a made using Papermania Doodles stamps with shimmery red centres, leaves are Crealie die cuts & the sentiment from LOTV.

RIP Katie Emerson Renz

Sadly Katie passed away yesterday with her family beside her.

The Meaning of Dreams...

I've been having some very weird dreams just lately.

Only the other night I dreamt I was 'H' from Steps!!...nuff said...

Attention-Seeking Washing Machine...

My washing machine 'beeps' when it's finished cleaning.

When I'm in the same room it knows I'm there... the 'beeps' last a few seconds before it stops. When I'm in the next room, the 'beeping' takes on a more sinister sound & it positively yells at me to come in & turn it off. I have been known to yell back but that doesn't stop it 'beeping' even louder!!

Last night I left it running and went to bed hoping it would 'beep' itself to sleep too. An hour later, I was awoken to a tapping on my shoulder...bloody thing had climbed the stairs!!

...and you wonder why I'm a woman on the edge!...

I've been asked to make a selection of baby cards so this is the first. It's a sparkly, shimmery little number featuring the incredibly cute Baby Boy stamp from LOTV. There's also a truckload of gold leaf on my card. Was tempted to take it to Cash 4 Gold but feared humiliation & rejection would greet me, as well as a kick up the bum as they booted me outta the shop...HAHA!!

This was another of my purchases at the Stamperama craft extravaganza in August. It's lovely stuff to use but don't sneeze, cough or 'trump' as it'll go everywhere!!

It's way too cold n' windy to craft outside with glitters & embossing powders. My heat-gun on an extension lead in the rain isn't a good idea either.

This is a very Special Blog Hop and I hope you can help.

There are lots of us joining together to..."support and encourage fellow crafter Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here."

This exclusive stamp used in my sample, has been designed by Becky Oehlers and is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digi or a digi and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support.

In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs have also donated digi stamps & papers that are for sale and are all available here.

So here is my card, using a selection of blue alcohol inks and silver for the background, coloured with ProMarkers with blue gem embellishments.

Triple Embossing WARNING!!!!

You were warned...another card with some triple-embossing. A very simple, clean design but not a very clean floor afterwards!!

I have come to the conclusion that embossing powders and glitter are definitely an outdoor activity.

I will have to look for some outdoor-crafting clothes for the winter months ahead. In fact, a 'Dragons Den' moment has just occured...this could be a whole new venture for me. Move over Mary Portas & your new range of clothes for women 40+ (not that I'm anywhere near 40...sheesh!), what 'real' women want is 'Craft-Attire'...hmmm...off to invent... (now where's my craft sheets?!)

Housewives Are A Menace To Society...Fact!

Trust me...not my words, but those 'implied' by my car insurance company when I came to let them know about my venture into the world of self-employment and subsequent change of use of our car. My annual premium was bizarrely reduced and when I enquired why, it seems that being a humble housewife I was indeed more of a menace to society with my impromptu visits to the supermarket and more likely to be involved in some kind of misfortune.

However, apparently filling the car with a variety of gardening 'implements' and travelling daily to clients abodes means I'm less of a peril to mankind. Fingers-crossed.

I love this digi Stepsisters from Mo's Digital Pencil. We've all stood behind somebody & put our fingers up like 'wabbit-ears' behind their heads just as the photo was taken...HAHA!!

This was a request for a gentleman who, along with the rest of his work mates, is having a really crappy time at work. This is The Stinker, by the very talented artist Marlene, and is available at Dude Time Doodles. I've coloured with my PMs & used papers from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection.

I warned you last week I had new toys in the form of Colourful Thoughts Jewel Enamels / embossing powders, so if you're bored already, you may wish to have 40 winks. I'll yell when it's all over!!

So here's another of my messy creations, this is def' an outdoor craft as the amount of powder n' glitter I end up covered in warrants an industrial vacuum cleaner.

This was quadruple-embossing as the colour versions just seem to need that extra layer when you squidge the stamp in. All embossing stash from The Stamp Hut (I may buy shares in this company!), papers from the Basic Grey Indian Summer collection with peel-off dragonflies & dots of gold glitter swirls.

WAKE UP!!!!!

With temperatures soaring in the high 20's here in Blighty at the moment, you certainly need your shades.

My OH took me out for a spin in the car yesterday to check out the latest goings on at the local garden centre. On the way home, we wound down all the windows to let the wind blow thru' our hairs and I almost passed out when a vision of loveliness appeared in the distance.

Now...brace yourselves ladies...it was a man on a racing bike, wearing a baby-pink... YES! baby-pink uber-tight-fitting LYCRA cyling outfit. It was a race between my daughter & I as to who could get our mobiles out the quickest to nab a photo. Alas, it was not to be...I can not share this moment with you, but boy...did I sleep well last night!!!

My card today uses Biker Babe from the Uber-talented Mo of Mo's Digital Pencil. Coloured with my PM's with papers from the Forever freinds Springtime collection & letter stickers from Papermania with glazing on his shades to finish.

Yes! Ladies, Gentlemen, People of the World...Beware my friends, there is a new threat to the Global Economy, far greater than anything else you may have witnessed so far!

For the purpose of this tale I shall give this threat the name 'Dot', for that is her real name!!

Dot, who I believe works at The Stamp Hut, is able to make you part with vast sums of money with her amazing Triple-Embossing demonstrations at Craft Shows in the blink of an eye!!

It all started when my naughty-side dragged me kicking n' screaming to Stamperama lat month. Before I knew it I was drawn to Dot & hypnotised by her craft. She sat there all day conjuring up the most beautiful embellies, patiently taking questions from the vast crowd that had gathered, even trying out experiments that some daft cow (me) asked her to do.

Before I knew it the ol' Visa card was swiped & my purchases bagged. I'm sure Dot had a swift pint (or two) when I'd gone...poor woman!!

So prepare to be bored over the coming weeks with my new toys Colourful Thoughts Jewel Enamels.

This was a chipboard flower triple-embossed in silver Colourful Thoughts embossing powder, a splash of glitter & some flakey things called Stellar Flash & then stamped. 3 glitter peel-offs & a Kaisercraft rub-on sentiment to finish.

I Jest! I Jest!

Don't panic...I'm kidding. Sheesh...the bird population still needs another year to recover from my Xmas cake disasters of last year that I cruelly fed to them.

I didn't dare particpate in this years RSPB Spring 'Birdwatch in the Garden' survey, in fact I'm not sure their were sightings of our feathered friends within a 100 mile radius of my house.

My card today was made for my SIL who can cook (show off!)...it's Perfection from the digital quill of Mo Manning AKA Mo's Digital Pencil. Coloured with Promarkers, my lovely bloggy pal Mina (and fellow Dream Team buddy) sent me these lush papers in one of her generous candy give-a-ways. Some lace, foam flowers & a ceramic 'Sweet' tile sentiment to finish.

Multi-Tasking!

A BIG SHOUT OUT to the very talented Multi-Taskers who I gave way to in my car this morning at a traffic-calming speed-bump! Not just any ol' speed-bump I tell yer...NO...this one was in the middle of the road with the added bonus of huge planters on either side for that extra steering challenge!

First...a BIG UP to the lorry driver that I let through who was able to text, steer & give me a wry grin as a way of showing his appreciation as I waited patiently.

Secondly...a MAHOOSIVE WOOP! WOOP! to the lady in her flash car, who was not only able to steer & raise her hand to thank me for letting her through...but...was also able to apply her mascara whilst looking in her sun-visor at the same time whilst manouvering said speed-bump

Not sure who GRRRR'd me the most...those two or the perfect driver who just couldn't be arsed to thank me!!

Yes...it's been one of those days...

The day started with the cat wailing to let me know she'd sat on the edge of her litter-tray & missed.

My gardening job today included bagging up 2 squished frogs, complete with entrails (hurl!) and my son was heard suggesting to his dad that he trade me in for a new woman as I'd clearly let myself go!!

In the past 5 mins my daughter has just tripped up the stairs & sent fruit-juice flying...so I can't stop...carpets to clean.

My card today is for a pal who has a poorly back and is spending her days horizontal on the floor to ease her pain. It's a rather attractive (complete with hairy-legs) nurse from Just Inklined. The digi papers are by Summer Driggs (Summertime Designs) Falling For Fall collection with handmade concertinaed flowers & red sticker dots to finish.

Have spent best part of the weekend either watching my son play football, making birthday cards for all the players in his team for the coming year or washing football kit.

I've used Soccer Dude & Soccer Girl from Mo's Digital Pencil, all coloured with Promarkers & mounted with foam pads onto white card which I've embossed a frame outline around & printed out the sentiment. I had to make note of the colour of all the players boots so they're perfectly personalised with their kit colours too.

Brace yourselves...I bring you a PEEL-OFF card in its entirety.

Yes...I know for many the PEEL-OFF is a dirty word, a word mentioned only behind closed doors with a grimace and a snigger. Frowned upon and heads turned away in disgust.

Oh the shame!!

But...yer know what...who cares..NOT ME! I have PEEL-OFFS and I'm NOT afraid to use them.

These are all sparkly black flowers mounted onto white card, some with foam pads for a bit of dimension with dots and swirls too.

Not Me...I hasten to add!!

No, down south here (in the UK), we're on the edge of a small hurricane that's blowing the leaves n' fragile branches off the trees. My Monday gardening job is for a lady whose land is surrounded by huge trees & everytime the wind whipped up I watched them as the force bent them back n' forth, ready to 'leg it'...it's pretty scary out there (and that's just the state of my windswept hair!!)

Yes I'm back from the hills but with more hideous spider tales to scare the b-jeepers outta you!

Just as I thought it was safe to return, my OH found another of those darned tarantula-like critters in the sink this morning but as he plunged his hand in to 'save' it (huh!!) he had to break the web it had spun across the flamin' sink. What the heck was it hoping to catch...ME!!!???

As he chucked it out the door he saw it throw out a web to break its fall...is your skin crawling yet?

So a 'perty' card to take your mind off the above... a scalloped die-cut centred card with a selection of punched out flowers n' foliage using Nellie Snellen & X-Cut punches with glittery peel-off centres.

Can't stop...off to re-silicon seal the entire house...

It's official ... I am having the time of my life being a Self-Employed Gardener. I've met some of the loveliest people & I'm so busy, which is great (fingers-crossed this continues).

My card is as sunny as it gets here in the UK where Autumn, who's been banging on the door for weeks, has now finally broken the door down! Almost had to put the heating on last night, it was soooo cold, but I couldn't get close enough to the rottweiler-guarded, heavilly padlocked heating switch that my OH has installed.

My card today is for my pal Leanne - Happy Birthday mate!!

Morning my fellow Soggy Bloggeroonies!

As a non-qualified Weather-Woman with a rather large crystal ball I predict great changes in the weather...ooohhh (eerie sounds)...as I rub my ball I see sunshine, hot days and ...wait for it ... long, warm, balmy Autumn evenings. This will all happen in EXACTLY one weeks time when ...wait ... rubbing ball a little harder...wait...yes I can see...when the Kids go back to flamin' school!!!!!!!!

My card today was a request for a lady called Nancy about to celebrate her 90th Birthday who 'lurvs' owls.

This owl was a freebie from Making Our Mark, coloured with Promarkers, with glazed glasses and a guilded-flaked belly. The DP's are from the Basic Grey Indian Summer collection, a random flower from my stash with a brad centre & gorgeous black leafy peel-offs & amber gems to finish.

So...yesterday was spent under the stairs cowering from the torrential rain and thunder storms that were brewing in the south & working their way up to my neck of the woods. Couldn't do any colouring as all electrical appliances had been disconnected to protect them from the impending doom forecast. I sat there for 8 hours in the dark with a jam-butty & a glass of milk you know ... and for what ...?

DRIZZLE...YES!! FLAMIN' DRIZZLE!!

Sending this card to the Weather-Peeps as an appreciation of thier 'trusty' predictions...NOT!

It's a grey ol' day out today...thunderstorms (EEK!) and torrential rain are forecast so I'm gonna slip in a quick card before I disconnect the electricity supply & take cover under the stairs.
