HUGE Excitement!!!

I have HUGE News!! The crazy fools over at Crafty Cardmakers have asked me...yes ME...I can't believe it either...to join the gang as a fully fledged DT Member. Of course...when the invite arrived, I rang round all my prangster chums to find out if this was a wind-up...but oh no! It's true, they must be barking mad.
Then I began thinking...company car, 3 course meals in a staff restaurant and a generous Company Pension Scheme...but a quick slap round the chops bought me back down to earth. To say I'm excited (& V.Scared) is an understatement. I hope I don't Bodge!! Wish me luck!!

Flowers For You!

Ahoy! Slowly working my way through my latest purchases...some gorgeous stamps from Lili of the Valley. This is called "On The Garden Wall" & I've left off the sentiment for now as I think it could be for an Engagement, Anniversary, Birthday or just to say Hello! Coloured with pastel ProMarkers, the wall's been glazed & gem flowers added. The background is run thru' my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, then pink Bazzill behind. Entering it at -

What is that BIG ORANGE HOT THING???

It's been soooooooooo blimin' HOT here for the past 3 days & they reckon today will be even hotter!!  Have been in the garden with "BBQ Man" all weekend but being a shade Worshipper I've allowed only my ankles to be exposed to the rays. The kids have had great fun with water bomb fights. This was the moment when Neils rather large bomb (actually it was a huge plastic box of water!!) ended up on Olivers head!!
The card I've made is for a lady who's just got a New Job. It's a digi from Charmed Cards & Crafts from the Holly & Madison set, coloured with ProMarkers. Orange background & flowers made from papers from the Basic Grey June Bug collection, some of it run thru' my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. Red gem flower centres & glazed highlights. "I Thank You!"

More of the Thank You cards that I was asked to make for a lady who'd just had a wee baby. This set was made using a digi from Digi Stamp Boutique. Prams coloured with ProMarkers or printed again on patterned paper. Backgrounds are Bazzill, Basic Grey or Henbury Lane from Papermania. Used my Nesties & Cuttlebug...flower & heart gem highlights... bit of glaze & ribbon to finish.

Off now to order a Sparrow Hawk & finish erecting my Scarecrows!! I think the local bird population "Poop Flight Path" has been diverted over my flamin' washing-line today. I've already washed & swept the front path this morning as the starlings are using our roof as a social club meeting point before continuing their journey over my Path, Runner Beans, Car & Washing!! AHHH!!!
Have Good Day All XX

Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Yay! Happy Anniversary to Me & Neil!!!! I've been waiting to use this digi of Big Guy Grilling from Mo's Digital Pencil for ages. Neil has wanted a "Grow'd Up" BBQ forever but it was the thought of the torpedo launching gas canister that has always put him off. For years he's been smoking out everyone in a 3 mile radius of our house with those cheapie coal & flame thrower-types whilst wearing an oxygen tank on his back. So a month ago he finally got one, had it delivered only to find it all buckled & broken. The replacements ignition switch then didn't work & when he did finally get it put together the weather changed & it has sat at the bottom of the garden, cover on, providing a perch for the birds to poop on ever since!! That was until last weekend when with rain clouds bubbling, a wind whipping up & temperatures close to Arctic conditions I saw the muppet...wearing his thickest winter jumper and shorts warming his hands over his beloved toy!! It was too much to bear...but too blimin' cold to join him..so I threw him a packet of sausages and left him posing "macholy". Heaven knows what the neighbours must have thought. Happiness reigns!!
Coloured with Promarkers, glazed highlights, cut out & mounted onto some old Papermania flowery paper that I found in my crafty stash. The message is a BBQ font. Entering it at -

Here's One I made Earlier...

There are so many beautiful tutorials about making flowers, many of them using punches in a variety of sizes which my wee crafting budget can not stretch to. So today, I've had a go at making my own using some chipboard flowers by Scenic Route as stencils that I got from Scrap Revolution that cost 99p!
I used 3 different sizes & cut them out from some 200gsm white card. I then ran them through my beloved Cuttlebug using the Victoria folder (all purchased from Scrap Revolution), splodged different shades of  Whispers stamps with darker shades on the edges. I then curled the petals back with scissors, screwed them up into a tiny ball & then opened them up again. Stuck the 3 different sizes together, added a pearl centre et voila!! Can't believe the card stock still looks so white coz my fingers sure aint! Entering it at -

Butterfly Frenzy!

I've got a serious case of "Punchitous", a condition where anything that lies still long enough will get some kinda pattern punched through it! Todays victim was a sheet of Doodlebug Bubblegum Sugar Coated cardstock attacked with an X-Cut Butterfly punch & mounted with foam pads in a random swirl. No animals were harmed in the making of this card! Entering it at -

Monkey Love

Still lovin' my Bug & my latest purchase of "Nestie" Scalloped circles. This beautiful digi is Marvin, Martha & Milo from Digistamp Boutique coloured with ProMarkers to match the blue Bazzill circle & the Elysian paper from the Basic Grey Euphoria collection. The flowers are made from an X-Cut punch with pearly centres & the leaves are my Nellie Snellen punch too. I've also embossed a border around the card. Haven't added any text as I think it fits a number of occasions. Entering it at -

Silhouette Peel-Offs

Quick posting as I've got strict instructions to not spend so much time blogging today & go out & get some fresh air. The fact that it's grey, damp, cold & miserable out doesn't seem to count!! I love these peel-offs, simply mounted onto white card & backgrounds coloured with Sky Blue & Lime green ProMarkers. Have a great day everyone!

Look Away...Macabre Scene!

Not sure if this little girl is cuddling or strangling the cat...so assuming it's the strangling option...I've added some cheery pink paper & flowers to distract you from the macabre scene. I've punched out a flower border from some Basic Grey pink paper and given them pink gem centres, added a second border strip of Dressy paper from the Sultry collection & then stuck the punched out flowers around the  "dear" litlle girl!!
