Happy Birthday Soupdragon

It's my favourite daughter's birthday today...YAY!

I know it's hard to believe that such a young, whipper-snapper such as myself has a 15 year old, but I like to work out, keep myself fit, fab n' groovy & way down with the kidz! (Cough!)

This is Jo-Painting by the incredibly talented Mo Manning (AKA Mo's Digital Pencil)

Now I'm not one to boast, but....my Sophie (The Soupdragon) is an amazing artist (of course she gets her artistic flare from her mother, her lovely, slim legs from her dad...lol) and when not studying like a woman-possessed, you'll find her creating another master-piece for her GCSE portfolio, so this digi was just perfect, plus it looks like her too (spooky!)

Have kept it CAS with some gorgeous flower embellies from petaloo.

It's half-time in the England V. Italy game in the European Championships, just time to slip in a quick posting while Much Beloved is quiet. Sheesh! I keep telling him that 'they (the players, currently a few thousand miles away from out front-room) can't hear' his ranting or see his crazed finger-pointing & arm-waving.

It's like watching a possessed maniac on the end of the sofa....I'm sitting at a safe distance from all his gesticulating!

It's about a gazillion degrees centigrade outside (give or take), the sun's out, there's a bunch of fluffy ol' clouds breezing pass, the birds are twittering & I'm sat with my 'deforested' legs up enjoying the view. The view being my 'smalls' on the washing-line and the back of much beloveds head...lol.

It's been a corker of a day today... it hasn't rained!

This was good news as my gardening jobs were rained off yesterday, now the ground's so wet the weeds pull up easily, my trowel digs like a knife thru' butter and no need to water in the many seedlings.

I did post last week a list of essential items holidayers in the UK may wish to consider packing before leaving home and venturing towards our shores(here)

May I suggest now that you just forget it, unpack your wetsuits n' thermals and stay at home. Any country on Earth at the moment is nicer than Blighty. Stay put, you'll only get washed back to your own country anyway (minus your 'smalls') with the deluge of rain that we're getting.

The weekend 'loometh'...Yay!

Am seriously considering changing the name of my business from 'Tidy Gardens by Jane' to 'Submerged Aquatic Gardens by Jane'. Far less catchy but definitely more appropriate considering the amount of rain that has been dropped on the UK over the past two months or so.

As for the wind...well today has been horrendous, I'd be surprised if any of my clients have plants, sheds or fences left after today! Maybe 'Jane's Garden Retrieval Services' may be more apt.

At least it's the weekend, I can sit back on my deckchair in the garden & soak up some rays...or...maybe NOT! More rain forcast and for the foreseeable future too....Yay! Not!

If anyone's thinking of visiting our shores (the UK) this year for a holiday please ensure you pack a kagool, waders, an inflatable dinghy and a set of oars.

Also, you may wish to consider a hotel room on the fifth floor and above for your accommodation and make sure you know where the lifeboats are situated as well as the hotels rubber-ring supply!

Failing that, I shall be selling flat-pack, quick-assembly arks (available from all good retailers & some of the dodgy ones too!)

To say 'It's Raining' is an understatement!!!

Now... can't stop....I have 'Drought Tolerant' plants to dig up and return!!

A weekend of Jubilee festivities has been n' gawn.

I've waved my flag, got arm ache from saluting everytime Her Maj' appeared on TV & the National Anthem was played so many times I had to resort to singing my own version for my own entertainment.

Thought Lord Gary Barlow did a great job organising the concert on Saturday night and all hail Grace Jones with her hola-hoop. Oh to look like her at 64...what a legend!

Off to buy a plastic swimming costume & hoop.

I chose to use the beautiful Daisy Patch which I printed & cut out several times to create layers. It's all been coloured with Promarkers & the final layer of petals have been whizzed thru' my swiss dots cuttlebug folder for a bit of 'touchy feely' texture.

It's Saturday night and I'm just about to head out clubbing so I'll be quick.

My silver sequin boob-tube is ironed, my white stiletto shoes have had their heels touched up with tippex and my leopard-spot leggins are ready to prize my porky thighs into.

A Long Weekend Beckons

Here in Blighty a long weekend (4 days) lies ahead...Woo! Hoo!

Hoping to get some serious card making done without interruption...hmmmm...we'll see how that goes.
