GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Dear Jim'll Fix It. Could you fix it for the FA to reconsider only playing football on warm, sunny, dry days where the pitches are clean & mud free? Not seen you around for a while now...hope I've not left it too late to put in a request. Miss your groovy, shiny tracksuits...love Janey xx"

Meanwhile my card today was made for a young lady who's left one of the local football teams. The stamp is from Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with my well-rested Promarkers & simply mounted with foam pads. The letters are "those" Basic Grey letters that I've glazed down.

Promarker "Train"ing day...get it? Doh!

Following yesterdays "Promarker Rest Day" it's time to get these babies back on the treadmill. No rest for the wicked...unless of course your kids are on their half-term hols, then there's plenty of time to rest!!! MWHAHAHA!!! Today's "game" is "Who can make the bestest-ever cuppa?" with extra points for putting a custard cream (or two) on the tray!
Darn those teachers wanting my kids back so soon!!
So a little bit of TLC, a work-out at the gym & a session with a Thai back masseuse & my promarkers are raring to go! My card today is for a Train-a-holic teen, I've used The Engineer from Mo's Digital Pencil, the papers are from DCWV & the blingy letters are from Making memories.
Sun's shining today & the windows look filthy...off to think off another exciting"game" for the kids!!!

Promarker Rest Day

As the worlds only Promarker Rescue Centre...I declare today "Promarker Rest Day"! Yes...my beauties are currently in the spa or treatment room enjoying a well deserved break.
The numbers & flowers on my card today were cut from MAMBI Honeysuckle paper, the pink card is dotty bazzill & the letters are more of those "I've-lost-the-ability-to-stay-stuck-to-paper-without-being-yelled-at-or-glazed-down" letters from Basic Grey! All finished with my daily dose of glitter.
Off to think of some more "entertaining games" for the children that will keep them amused during half-term that involve the use of an iron, ironing-board & a washing machine!! MWHAHA!!!

"Fore" He's a Jolly Good Fellow!

Watch Out!
The kids are on their half-term hols' this week so I have taken on my new role as Entertainments Manager.
And what better game to play than "Who Can Vacuum The Carpet The Best?"... followed by "Who's Got The Dirtiest Duster?" The rules are quite straight forward....give each child a vacuum, duster & can of polish & let battle commence. The one with the filthiest duster & fullest dust-bag wins. If your opponent appears to have more grime than you...find another room to clean until the whole house is sparkling!!! Then sit back...and relax...!
Trust me!!! Having sat thru' the film "Gnomeo & Juliet" & Elton Johns wailing I deserve a break!!

So onto my card...tiz Big Guy Golfing from Mo's Digital Pencil. He's been coloured with Promarkers, the papers are from the Papermania Rose Garden collection, letters are from Basic Grey that I've glazed & the leaves are a Nellie Snellen punch. A smattering of glittery stuff & job done!

3 Little Words

It's The Weekend...AGAIN! Yippie!!
And my weekend is already off to a great start.
A trip to the Supermarket this morning has left me with a HUGE cheesy grin & a skip in my step.
Whilst putting my trolley back I was approached by an elderly gentleman who told me that he'd just tried to get into the wrong car. It appears another car, similar to his, had parked close by & he'd been trying to get into it, to no avail, before realising his car was parked further along. He said he'd made the mistake coz he was old and when I said "You're not old", blaming it on the day of the week, he announced "I Love You!" and wished me a good day!
My card today therefore reflects my bright, cheery mood.
It's a New Home card made using one of the beautiful stamps "Fairy Tree House" from Make It Crafty. It's coloured with Promarkers & glitter with various bits decoupaged. The papers are from the Wild Rose Studio Spring Fling collection, the leaves & flowers are made from a mixture of Marianne Design Open Flower Trendy & Crealie die-cuts & mini- punches. I added red sequin flowers and  went a bit mad with the glitter but...Hay! Ho!
Have a Fab weekend!!

Girly Girl!

Morning Campers!
I'm hoping to start my own Gardening Business soon but will be wearing a far more appropriate outfit than the one in my card today. Yeah! High heels & mud just don't mix well!
Today I bring you Girly Girlness in abundance.
The stamp is Glamorous Gardening from LOTV coloured with promarkers with a mauve, gem necklace. The papers are from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection & the flowers & leaves were cut using Marianne Designs Open Hip Die & Crealies leaf die CLCS2. The flower centres are white card candy & the letters & numbers are from Basic Grey that I've glazed & it's all finished with a coating of glitter glue.

Today I bring you Larry Lane from Dude Time Doodles slinging his balls with all his might! This was a request for a friends son who loves bowling. He's been coated in Promarkers. The letters are from Papermania, glazed to stick the little blighters down!!

McLaughlin Family Portrait

My card today is for a friend & her family who are moving home.
She has 2 boys & 2 girls so I thought I'd make a family portrait for them using some of the gorgeous & very generous freebie stamps from Beccy at Beccy's Place. They've all been individually cut out & coloured with Promarkers & clear, glitter Sakuras. The "housey" papers were a prize from my bloggy pal Mina a while back...sorry...not sure who makes them. Finished with my daily sprinkle of glitter & a gem necklace.
Keeping it brief today...recovering from being "road-raged" first thing this morning ...gonna take out my angst on a fluffy-duster!
Keep it Real everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day you gorgeous lot!!
My OH gave me my Valentine' prezzie yesterday...a box of posh Thorntons chocs which the kids "kindly" helped me open and the Glee Rocky Horry CD. We spent the day singing our heads off...love it. Bought back some lovely memories of my youth spent going to parties & shows at various dodgy locations. I was know for my Magenta role back then...I had the album, the books, the playscript, the outfit...heavy sigh...!
You wouldn't see me dead in those outfits now!!! (Unless of course the undertaker is a bit warped!!...Get it? Don't bother!!)
This card was a request for a friend who was 40 last weekend from her hubby. Apparently she loves ballroom dancing & red & the "Celebrate in Style" is her fav' saying. This is Tango from Karen's Doodles coloured with Promarkers, the gorgeous "hearty" papers are from the Basic Grey Sugar Rush collection, tiny, red sequin flowers & a dollop of glitter et Voila!

It's a Cat's Life!

Wotcha!
A late posting today...It'll soon be Valentine's Day so I've spent the morning cleaning vases, making space in the fridge for an assortment of heart-shaped chocs, my undies drawer has room for some garish new outfits fit only for a slim, 18 year old nymph and the letterbox has been enlarged!!
I've had to make several cards lately for the same person who's gonna be celebrating a BIG birthday this weekend. I shall post the rest next week but this is my one to her. A rummage in my stash revealed this cutie...it's a Penny Black stamp that I've coloured with Promarkers, I've cut out the clothes & pegs again & mounted them with foam pads. The paper is from Paper Cellar, the flowers & leaves are Bazzill lime cardstock using Nellie Snellen & X-cut punches, finished with green gems & glitter.

Have a FAB weekend!

Sorry! How old...?

Now...do you think this is too subtle? Not subtle enough?
A request for a 40th Birthday card (in case you hadn't noticed!!). I've handcut the numbers from gorgeous turquoise glitter card, vacuumed the carpet, Me, the cat & everything else that then a had a fine coating of the sparkly stuff!! The bunting is a stamp from Two Peas in a Bucket, the background has been whipped thru' the Cuttlebug using the Spots n' Dots embossing folder.

Dancing Queen

Yo!
Today I bring you Ballerina Gillian from Prairie Fairy in all her dancing glory...if only I was as light on my feet! I'm more a Flossie Bumblethorpe from Just Inklined. She's all covered up with Promarkers and I've decoupaged her frilly Tutu. The papers are from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection with a flowery border punched out. The swirly bit is a peel-off (Yes! I know...I have sinned!!)
Keep it Groovy!!

Punch Drunk!

I've gone "punch crazy" with my card today...not a stamp in sight!
I was asked to make a flowery card for a friends Mum which gave me yet another opportunity to use my new Crealies & my all time fav collection of papers from Basic Grey's Indian Summer set. The flowers are 2 sizes of  X-cut punches and a variety of Crealie leaves (CLCS11). Some have been stuck flat, others raised for a bit of dimension. I've used a clear, glitter sakura to give the leaves their veins, flowers have glitter centres & all finished with some gem swirls.

It appears my blog has been playing up & some of the images have decided to go into hiding. Hopefully it's just a blip!

Batten Down the Hatches!!

Boy! It sure is windy out there!
Insanely I chose today to do some Garden Maintenance. I was going stir-crazy indoors & as bleak & windy as it was outside I thought...What the hell...let's go rake some leaves!! Before I knew it, I'd lopped down some shrubs, cut back all the dead stuff & cut the grass...YES! Cut the grass!! I've managed to fill ours & my MILs recycling bins. I only came in for fear that I'd electrocute myself in the drizzle that was falling onto the lawnmower electrics. Still...job done & now the flamin' sun's come out...where was it this morning? Rah!!
I made this card a while ago. The stamp was a freebie a while back from Pollycraft, coloured with Promarkers, cut out & mounted on papers from my wee stash (sorry can't find where it's from), a bit of Card Candy & a turquoise string thingy to finish. The glitter letters are from Making Memories.

Blush!

I've been sent this Love Award by Chrissy!
I'd like to thank all the cast & crew in the background of Janey's Cards for their support, loyalty & kindness...although I'm not sure if running from the room in fits of laughter at one of my cards really counts as support! In fact when I cast my mind back, there seems to be a lot of snorting, behind the scenes giggling and a whole lot of head slapping when I have one of my "Ta-Da" presentations!!!

My job now is to thank Chrissy for the award (tick!) & then go & find 3 - 5 other lovely peeps deserving of a bit of love...hmmm! Let me think!

Marlene - Disguised as a Grown Up - for giving me my daily fix of Snark
Judie - I Just Love Crafty Mess - for being one of a few peeps on the planet on my wave length & having the guts to follow her dreams
Beccy - Beccy's Place - for being unbelievably generous with her digi's (ooh! Er!)
Tracey - My Crafty Corner - for just being one of the sweetest bloggeroonies I know
Cheryl - Sassy Cheryl's - for being an awesome designer & coz she's had a sad time of late & deserves some Love!!

Thank you again Chrissy...off to spread the Lurv'

C'Mon Spring!!!!

Don't let the blue sky in the background of this snap fool yer!! If I'd taken this card in the garden to have it's photo taken I reckon we'd both have been blown over the fence & down the road! Crazy weather we're having, today it's s'pose to be 13 degrees (in Feb'!!)
Now I've not bought a Craft mag for absolutely yonks as any funds I make I use to restock my stash supply...BUT...this week Quick Cards are giving away a gorgeous Pink Petticoat Vintage Rose paper stash and I couldn't resist. This card is for a friend's sister & I've used several of the papers for the background, the flowers (using my Marianne Creatables Open Flower Hip die-cutting gadget), the swirls (using my Crealies Swirls CLCS 02) and a bunting digi from Two Peas in a Bucket. The flower centres are white Card Candy with glitter & pearls to finish.

Have a groovy weekend Everyone!

Hmm!...What to do...

Can't believe it's Thursday already!!! Another weekend of scrapping a football pitch out of my sons boots approaches...it's a wonder there's still a pitch to play on as most of it is now in my garden!
I'm in the process of inventing very cheap, disposable, bio-degradable football boots that you just sling off at the end of a match on to the pitch. Watch out for me on Dragons Den!
My card today is for my daughters friend known as "G", I've used Lilybean Fairy "Clover I Believe" from Pollycraft & coloured her with...Promarkers...YES! What a shock! The paper is from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection & the flowers are made using my Marianne Creatables Open Flower Trendy die-cutting thingy with a flower gem centre. I've found a BIGGER, CHEAPER alternative to Stickles...Craft Twinkles from Decoart & let it loose to add the finishing touches of Crystal glitter.

Morning You! You're Looking Good!!

Ahoola my Bloggy Chums!
I was asked to make a birthday card for a lady who makes her own cards (Yikes! No pressure then!!). Apparently she's quite Arty so I've used the "Paint The Town" digi  from Sassy Cheryls coloured with Promarkers, she also wanted ribbon -  so I've chopped up an adhesive ribbon for flower centres, glitter - the leaves are Crealie die-cut Sugarcoated Cardstock from Doodlebug  and her name (which I stoopidly mispelt the first time round...DOH!) The papers & punched flowers are from the Making Memories Simply Fabulous Meg collection with mauve gems to finish. Hopefully I've pulled it off...and RELAX!
