At the Beach...

Sorry for the lack of postings this week, if I've not been gardening, I've been in my make-shift nuclear shelter under the stairs, squished between the ironing board and the vacuum cleaner hiding from the thunderstorms.
After a scorching day earlier in the week the weather-peeps warned of impending storms that night. Although a 'Storm-Woos',  I  went to bed safe in the knowledge that my OH and kids would be there for me in my moment of terror. WRONG! The storms didn't arrive until the next day when they'd all gone off and I was home alone...EEK!! At this point I would like to thank my FB pals (you know who you are!!) for your support in between the Bangs & Crashes...NOT!!!
My card today is the cutie Kai in the Sand from Mo's Digital Pencil, coloured with PM's, the DP's are from the Docrafts Tulip collection with 'random' card candy pebbles.

Happy Birthday Our Kid...GLEE!

I know what you're thinking..."surely a Spring-Chicken like Janey couldn't possibly have a child sooooo old! How old was she...7? And what is the secret to her youthful looks?..."
My secret is out...I am in fact a wrinkly ol' hag that hires youthful, pretty staff to pose as my childrens Mother in public! Trust me...as yer kids get older, the less likely you'll be seen...especially if you're of the embarrassing-kind (I hold my hand up to that one! MWHAHA!)
So today is officially Sophie's 14th (said quietly) birthday and I have found the perfect digi, 'Miss Thang' from KennyK that not only looks like her but also pays homage to our heroine Sue Sylvester from Glee!
She's wearing a zesty-lime Promarker tracksuit, all the digi-papers are from the 'Owl Always Love Spring' collection from Summertime Designs which I just LURV! The bizarre flowers are made from circles of paper, snipped into & then every other bit folded back with a card candy centre.
It's gonna be 32 degrees today so I'm off to bathe naked in the garden...catch yer later xxx

Happy Ante-Birthday Sophie

Greeting Earthlings!
Has been a scorcher here in the South of 'Blighty' today.
Our Kid, 'Sophie-Soupdragon', had a gathering of pals over to celebrate her impending Birthday AND to upset the neighbours by playing loud music & squealing (like girls do) in a water fight.
A variety of games have been played...swingball, waterbombs and my personal favourite 'let's chuck carrot-sticks at yer mate and hope she'll catch them in her gob'.
This card was made for Sophie (from her Nan)...the digi was from a freebie set by Papercraft Essentials, coloured with PM's, the DP's & sentiment are from the Docrafts Tulip collection, letters are from K&Co with pearls & oodles of glitter to finish.

More Randomness Than You Can Poke A Stick At...

Another random moment spent with several bottles of alcohol (of the ink variety) and a butterfly from the K& Co Smitten collection.

Lady Gardener

Oh! I wish I looked this good when I did gardening & stayed that clean, alas in the real world this image would be a variety of brown shades with 'smell-o-vision'.
This vision of loveliness is Sadie and her Potter's Bench from Mo's Digital Pencil wearing a fetching Promarker outfit. The gorgeous DP (which pained me to use) is from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection. Some of my 'dodgy' rolled flowers oozing with glitter & a flower charm to finish.

'FORE' Father's Day!

It's that time of year for golf fans and those of the 'dreaded' tennis persuasion to come out of the closet...YAWN!!!
Thankfully I have lots of things to keep me busy but not necessarily out of mischief...MWHAHA!
This was a Father's Day card request for a golf-a-holic...the digi (wouldn't wanna cross him whilst he's wielding that bat!!),  is from KennyK coloured with Promarkers. The spotty digi papers were a freebie from Samantha Luck and the golf bag & ball embellies were actually buttons that someone gave to me about 100 years ago & I've finally found a use for them!

Mo's Dream Team - Blog Hop - Make Your Own Flowers

Ahoy!
It's the Mo's Digital Pencil Dream Team Blog Hop and my first ever, so hopefully I'll give you all the right links & not send you anywhere 'dodgy' (MWHAHA!!).
Our Hostess, starting our hop, is the inspirational Heidy who has chosen the theme of Make Your Own Flowers. For my card I've used the first digi I ever bought from Mo's Digital Pencil and it's called End of Summer (Sheesh! I hope I haven't cursed the weather anymore as Summer's hardly started here in the UK!) This beautiful, dreamy image is coloured with Promarkers, the DP's are from Docrafts Tulip collection with Crealie die-cut swirls. My flowers are quite simple, made using a Nestie inverted scalloped circle die, snipped into & the edges curled & frayed. The petal tips are glittered with a Card Candy centre to finish.  Now you should have arrived here from Lori's blog and your journey continues with my new pal Julie who no doubt has something stunning up her sleeve!!

Have a groovy day...xxx

Fit Bloke!

You're only getting a Fit Bloke card out of me today...my fitness levels today (which were bordering on zero) have plummeted to a big fat minus 56! Sheesh...I ache big time (moan moan moan) and am wondering if I should have taken up Cross-Stitch as a career rather than Gardening.
This hunk is Big Guy Jogging from Mo's Digital Pencil. Alas, Big Guy is not lycra-clad and I haven't seen any lycra-clad bikers lately so I may ask Mo to 'pen' a few for us gals to colour...phew! Is it suddenly hot in here!
Anyway...he's wearing a sweaty Promarker outfit & looking rather buff as he takes his pooch out for a run. The DP's are from the First Edition Up & Away collection that accidently fell in my shopping basket, with a zesty lime green ribbon to finish.

Tea anyone?

Eee! Yer can't beat a cup of the brown stuff but is it a sign of old age? How many of you sigh aloud when you sit down & then let out a satisfied 'Ahh...' as you take a sip of tea? How many of you also dress up in over-sized frocks n' shoes leaning precariously on a 3-legged stool over a miniature table wearing a bonnet?
Actually don't answer that...I already get enough 'dodgy' comments, but if you feel the need to 'confess' I am the sole of discretion...MWHAHAHAHA!!
This wee lass 'teetering' with her tea-pot is 'Tea Party' from LOTV, wearing an Orchid & Amethyst Promarker ensemble. The DP is from Docrafts called Springtime, the felt swirls are by Queen & Co & the flowers from my stash.

MY! What BIG feet you have!!

Now if I walked round in a frock this short, revealing my chubby thighs, knobbly knees & had feet THIS BIG you'd have me locked up by the Fashion Police for indecent exposure...(that's if you can catch me first!). Me thinks she's hiding an ice pack & a Nobbly Bobbly ice-lolly in each shoe...Wise Girl.
This is Gentle Friends...my favouritist-ever-ever-ever digi by Cheryl Alger AKA Sassy Cheryls. She's wearing a very daring little yellow Promarker number & surrounded herself with an abundance of white textured flowers n' leaves using Retro X-cut & Marianne Design punches. The flower centres are orange dew drops from My Mums Craft Shop with my obligatory splash of glitter to finish.

Domestic Goddess

I really enjoyed my new gardening job yesterday...I was let loose with shears & spent the day shaping hedges & chopping down ivy. It wasn't until I got home that I realised how many creepy-crawlies & bits of foliage I'd smuggled home in amongst my clothing & hair..eugh!!
Today my role is that of Domestic Goddess, mainly cleaning up the mess that dropped / crawled off me from the front door to the bath. What better image to use on my card than this one, Housework Fairy from Mo's Digital Pencil. She's coloured with Promarkers (now there's a surprise!), the DP's are from Doodlebug with Crealie die-cut leaves, flowers from my stash with card candy centres & some pearly pins. A flitter of glitter from her fairy wand & job done...alas NOT my housework, I guess I'll have to do that bit!

RAIN...at last!!

It's Monday & it's chucking it down...Thank goodness Oliver's school is closed today and I'm starting my new gardening job tomorrow. I'd be soaked through by now & you can't really ring in on day 2 with influenza. I shall spend the day cleaning & sharpening my tools in preparation & dig out my trusty kagoole.
I saw a pot of poppies like this in a DIY store the other day & was inspired by just how many colours you can get them in...and somehow, despite my 'plant addiction',  I managed to leave the store without them. BUT, they were on my mind all day so I made this card using a beautiful freebie from Digisparkle. It's coloured with Promarkers, cut into even sized strips & then stuck back down but leaving small gaps...I know...more randomness!

Celebration! I''ve joined Mo's Dream Team!

The crazy peeps over at Mo's Dream Team have foolishly asked me to join the gang. I fear they've been drinking & will soon sober up & realize the error of their ways. I'm honoured that they have asked me to join the team to showcase the work of Maurie Manning AKA  Mo's Digital Pencil...let's hope they don't sober up too quickly!!
In celebration here's Me The Fat Lady, one of my  fav' digi's of Mo's...although if you read my blog often enough, you'll realize they're all my favourites. She's wearing a rather fetching Lime Green Promarker frock, against a Kanban Verona Garden background (Sheesh! It almost killed me to cut up this lush card...it's not meant to be used, just to be stroked & dribbled over!), punched flowers, butterflies and gems to finish.
A quick trip to the off-licence to organise a crate of the 'strong-stuff' to send to the Dream Team...DON'T want them sober just yet...MWHAHAHA!!!

'Owl Be Watching You!'

In the words of the 'Buzzy'one, Sting, 'Owl Be Watching You!'
This card was a request yonks back but I forgot to post it. The cute owl was a freebie from Pollycraft with lettering from Doodlebug and the biggest set of googly-eyes I could lay my mitts on.
Short n' Sweet today...must dash!!
