There's Gold in Them There Hills!

There's also a truckload of gold leaf on my card. Was tempted to take it to Cash 4 Gold but feared humiliation & rejection would greet me, as well as a kick up the bum as they booted me outta the shop...HAHA!!
This was another of my purchases at the Stamperama craft extravaganza in August. It's lovely stuff to use but don't sneeze, cough or 'trump' as it'll go everywhere!!
Off to my scare the b-jeepers outta any 'Trick or Treaters' that dare to knock...no need to dress up!!
MWHAHA!!

He's Behind You!

Sheesh!
If I had a bug as big as that on my back I'd choose a faster get-away vehicle!
The kids are back at school tomorrow for the final term before Christmas...Yes...I said Christmas. With a total of 1 Xmas card made I need to get my skates on (the metaphorical variety of course...)
The little girl with the hump-backed-bug in my card today is suitably named Bye Bye from Mo's Digital Pencil. Coloured with Promarkers with DPs & flowers made from the Basic Grey June Bug collection with white card candy centres.

My card today features one of the cute little fairies from the Fairy Friends digi set designed by artist Alice Smith & available from The Clipart Fairy. I've given her the ol' orange-fizz treatment with an array of orange Promarkers & silver glitter highlights. The flowers are tiny sequins with gem centres and doodled bubbles to finish.

One For the Ladies...

PURR!!!!
Don't be tempted by his devilishly good looks and luring hand gesture girls, he's a vampire & he wants only one thing!!!
And once you've ironed that darned wrinkly shirt and pressed his velvet cape, he'll have you running the vacuum round!
This is Come Hither from Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with ProMarkers with a sparkly background made up of a strip of Kanban sparkle flowered card & silver, glitter peel-off lines (I know...that 'dirty' peel-off word again...but yer know what...I just don't care!!). Ooh...just noticed...there's a flamin' huge, purple ribbon there too!

Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop

Get out your Space-Hoppers and Pogo-Sticks...it's Blog Hop Time!!

Our theme this month, chosen by the Hostess with the Mostess Jak, is Colours of Autumn

I trawled all the local craft shops trying to find leafy punches but came home empty handed.
Then I remembered my Crealie Die Cutters (this one is CLCS12)...I forgot I had them in my stash already...DOH! And they were just what I wanted to create my scene for Skateboard Schoolboy, from Mo's Digital Pencil, swishing his way thru' the autumn leaves looking dead-cool! The leaves were die-cut from scraps of Basic Grey Indian Summer papers & gold gift-tags with red glitter highlights & doodled swirls.

If you're joining in with our hop, then you should have arrived here from Lori's fabulous blog. After me it's Julie with I'm sure another inspiring creation. If you're lost or would like to start at the beginning then pop back to Jak's blog.

As always there are two $5 vouchers up for grabs to spend at Mo's Digital Pencil. For your chance to nab one, leave some 'Lurv' along the way...enjoy the Hop!

Brace Yourself...

It's way too cold n' windy to craft outside with glitters & embossing powders. My heat-gun on an extension lead in the rain isn't a good idea either.
So for my 'regulars' this is my final Triple Embossed card. I know I've bored you all senseless, some have been driven to drink but this is honestly the last one (for now!)
Keep it real everyone...!

Swimming For Katie...A Very Special Blog Hop

This is a very Special Blog Hop and I hope you can help.

There are lots of us joining together to..."support and encourage fellow crafter Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here."

This exclusive stamp used in my sample, has been designed by Becky Oehlers and is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digi or a digi and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support.
In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs have also donated digi stamps & papers that are for sale and are all available here.

Direct donations are also being accepted HERE.

So here is my card, using a selection of blue alcohol inks and silver for the background, coloured with ProMarkers with blue gem embellishments.

The following is a list of everyone who has projects posted today. I hope you will be inspired by them and moved to purchase or donate.
Thank you everyone xx

Triple Embossing WARNING!!!!

You were warned...another card with some triple-embossing. A very simple, clean design but not a very clean floor afterwards!!
I have come to the conclusion that embossing powders and glitter are definitely an outdoor activity.
I will have to look for some outdoor-crafting clothes for the winter months ahead. In fact, a 'Dragons Den' moment has just occured...this could be a whole new venture for me. Move over Mary Portas & your new range of clothes for women 40+ (not that I'm anywhere near 40...sheesh!), what 'real' women want is 'Craft-Attire'...hmmm...off to invent... (now where's my craft sheets?!)

Housewives Are A Menace To Society...Fact!

Trust me...not my words, but those 'implied' by my car insurance company when I came to let them know about my venture into the world of self-employment and subsequent change of use of our car. My annual premium was bizarrely reduced and when I enquired why, it seems that being a humble housewife I was indeed more of a menace to society with my impromptu visits to the supermarket and more likely to be involved in some kind of misfortune.
However, apparently filling the car with a variety of gardening 'implements' and travelling daily to clients abodes means I'm less of a peril to mankind. Fingers-crossed.
I love this digi Stepsisters from Mo's Digital Pencil. We've all stood behind somebody & put our fingers up like 'wabbit-ears' behind their heads just as the photo was taken...HAHA!!
Coloured with ProMarkers, papers from the Forever Friends Springtime collection, a few gems and a K&Co flower.

Viewers of a Nervous Disposition...Look Away!

I know there are some 'sensitive' souls out there who will be offended by my card today ... so apologies in advance that I used foul langauge blue to colour his pants instead of pink!
Me ol' mucker Mozzer AKA Marlene is responsible for providing the perfect digi for my card.
This was a request for a gentleman who, along with the rest of his work mates, is having a really crappy time at work. This is The Stinker, by the very talented artist Marlene, and is available at Dude Time Doodles. I've coloured with my  PMs & used papers from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection.
Hang Loose Everyone...

Prepare to be Bored...

I warned you last week I had new toys in the form of Colourful Thoughts Jewel Enamels / embossing powders, so if you're bored already, you may wish to have 40 winks. I'll yell when it's all over!!
So here's another of my messy creations, this is def' an outdoor craft as the amount of powder n' glitter I end up covered in warrants an industrial vacuum cleaner.
This was quadruple-embossing as the colour versions just seem to need that extra layer when you squidge the stamp in. All embossing stash from The Stamp Hut (I may buy shares in this company!), papers from the Basic Grey Indian Summer collection with peel-off dragonflies & dots of gold glitter swirls.

WAKE UP!!!!!

All done...I'm off...

Cool Dude

With temperatures soaring in the high 20's here in Blighty at the moment, you certainly need your shades.
My OH took me out for a spin in the car yesterday to check out the latest goings on at the local garden centre. On the way home, we wound down all the windows to let the wind blow thru' our hairs and I almost passed out when a vision of loveliness appeared in the distance.
Now...brace yourselves ladies...it was a man on a racing bike, wearing a baby-pink... YES! baby-pink uber-tight-fitting LYCRA cyling outfit. It was a race between my daughter & I as to who could get our mobiles out the quickest to nab a photo. Alas, it was not to be...I can not share this moment with you, but boy...did I sleep well last night!!!
My card today uses Biker Babe from the Uber-talented Mo of Mo's Digital Pencil. Coloured with my PM's with papers from the Forever freinds Springtime collection & letter stickers from Papermania with glazing on his shades to finish.
