I'm sure that like us, Saturdays for the Monarch are spent catching up on chores.

Could This be Summer?

After weeks of drought-busting rain and cool temperatures, here in the UK we're all now positively melting.

As a shade-lovin' gardener, I'm dripping in sun-tan lotion and have now been forced to wear my ridiculous pink sun-hat. Trust me....hats & I don't go well...I am a crime against fashion in the hat department!

Hoping to get my knees out this weekend & get a little bit of a tan.

I trust everyone in the UK is bikini-clad, flip-flopped, sun-screened & poised ready for the scorcher of a day ahead (even if you're in the office...lol)

Of course, the current heatwave is all down to Much Beloved who last week finally went out & bought a water-butt!! When he dug the BBQ out in March, the heavens opened & I held him personally responsible for the following 6 weeks of rain. He has redeemed himself with his butt...no pun intended.

Here's a card for your delight & delectation. I have now got to the stage in life where I need L (Left) & R (Right) on my wellies and socks. It's all been decoupaged for a bit of depth.

A Pooh Day!

Yes...it's been a pooh day gardening and I'm not speaking metaphorically!

2 gardens, miles apart in distance, yet with so much in common...plants, trees...oh yes and pooh! Bloody FOX POOH and man does it stink.

It stinks even more when it's on yer arm, wellies & bum of yer trousers & you've still got an hour to go...rahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor much beloved needed the car this afternoon & so had to pick me up when my work was done. Needless to say, the windows were wide open all the way home.

It wasn't all bad today, for it's our Wedding Anniversary, 16 years together, much beloved is in therapy & on strong medication, don't worry!

This amazing pottery work of art was specially made for us as a gift from some old work colleagues for our wedding. It's supposed to be us in the back, although Mr C had more hair back then than the figure shows, but we both have our specs on.

So well done Mr C..you deserve a medal putting up with me n' my crazy ways.

He'll probably want an early night tomorrow....for you know what

Thank goodness I have an abundance of pink in my crafty stash.

I chose to use the uber cute Maya's Balloons, coloured with my trusty Promarkers & oodles of glitter. The cat & balloons have been decoupaged for a bit of dimension and I've used dotty papers & matching card candy too.

As a woman who has spent the past week on her hands n' knees hoicking out dandelions & other weeds, I beg you...DON'T blow dandelion seed heads.

Yes! I know the image above conjures up a sweet childhood fantasy of lazy, happy days, frolicking gaily in meadows of sweet buttercups & poppys, laughing & giggling with Gary Barlow singing 'Here Comes the Sun' at the campfire.

Hold on while I scratch the needle across the record and put an end to your daydreaming!!

Dandelions have roots to Australia (unless of course you're in Australia, then that have roots down to the UK!) You'll also wet the bed if you pick one (so I was told as a child).

Kids...DON'T blow the seed heads...get a BLOW TORCH and burn the B*****S!

Clearly many of you were shocked & in some cases reduced to tears following my breast balloon revelation yesterday (here). Some viewers have gone into therapy & are now receiving specialist counselling, others have resorted to rocking slowly back n' forth in their chairs unable to speak.

Last of the Wedding Day Drama's

Many of you have been dutifully entertained by my recent Wedding Day stories here & here.

My work here is almost done, with this my final card in the trilogy of wedding card requests. 

I shall leave you some parting tales from my wedding day for your amusement.

The pink balloons used to decorate my mum & dads house (which is where we held our reception) were supposed to be heart-shaped but didn't inflate properly & looked like large breasts.

This is the moment in the church when I supposed to stop whilst my my poor bridesmaid straightened my dress in preparation for my walk graceful down the aisle.

I forgot to stop, my bridesmaid didn't, holding tightly to my dress whilst I tried to walk off.

The table settings were all wrong when we arrived for our meal, the coach-driver who ferried our guests to the different venues drove off with my glasses so I couldn't see well all day, when our taxi called at the end of the day to take us to our hotel much beloved cracked his head on the boot of the taxi and when we arrived at our hotel my suitcase containing my 'smalls' popped open & all my bits fell out onto the hotel car park.

Despite all this hilarity, it was the best day of my life.
