Promarker Away-Day

Yes...the ol' Promarkers are out for the day at a spa. Trust me...some were beginning to look a bit ropey & haggard, too many late nights and for some I fear a touch of substance abuse (that's the ones too close to the glue pot).
Of course their away-day has left me somewhat bereft. I can't remember life before my Promarkers arrived and so I've spent the day pacing the room trying to remember how I use to colour images in.
Voila! Cotton-wool-buds (AKA ear cleaners....clean ones!!) dipped in some old Whispers ink pads. Problem is I have nothing left to clean my ears with....now...where are those darned Promarkers?!

Thorpe Park Disappointment

For anyone hoping to enjoy the thrills of catching a yellow, rubber duck on a hook at the end of a long bamboo stick, the excitement of landing a ping-pong-ball in a glass jam-jar or the sheer, boundless joy of a slow-moving, gentle miniature railway ride....avoid Thorpe Park!
Looking to be catapulted at 80mph up a 210 foot, spindly track in 2 seconds? Seeking the enjoyment in hanging upside down whilst being hurtled around a twisting, turning, gut wrenching, bowel-moving ride narrowly missing a string of obstacles? Then tap 'Thorpe Park' in your sat navs final destination
Then there are those who go on these adrendaline sapping, heart-stopping rides alone without someone to hold their hand or needing a change of underwear once it's all over?
Why would you put yourself through such a terrifying ordeal? Ask my crazy daughter, who has more guts than I've had hot dinners, and I guess you'd get your answer.
I was more than happy to spectate and supervise the 'family-day-out-emergency-supply-bag'.
A great day was had by all yesterday, a thoroughly pleasant outing for all the family.

Lamp Assistance Required.....

Bonjour / Bonsoir Lovely Peeps!
What with all the gloomy weather we've been having here I've been struggling to take decent photo's of my cards. Sunny days have been rare and when the sun has appeared it's usually been accompanied by gale force winds, so any hope of outdoor shots have been hampered by cards having to be nailed down or wedged between large rocks. I'm sure Clintons don't have this problem!!
Anyway, what with Autumn looming...there...said it....Autumn looming, I know I'm going to have to go back to indoor snaps of my cards and what with those dreadful energy-saving bulbs that make everywhere miserable I'm looking into investing in a daylight kinda lamp and wondered if anyone has any tips, recommendations as to a decent light for working at my small desk as well as one that lights up a card & shows its true colours, rather than that yellow / orange dullness.
Any suggestions and links HUGELY grateful......Thank You!
This card was taken on one of those rare sunny days.

Mo's Digital Pencil Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time again for the gang over at Mo's Digital Pencil.
Our Hostess this month is the Queen of Ribbon herself....Mina and knowing that I am 'Ribbonly-Challenged' the Queen of Ribbon has chosen RIBBON as our theme (Grrrrrr!)
So here's my card and I've used Gloria at the Pool.
For those of us living in the UK we can only dream of a summer scene such as this... sipping cocktails whilst floaing about in an over-sized rubber ring soaking up the suns warm, summer rays. Any sight of a rubber ring is when someone throws one at you as the roads flood or another river bursts its banks with all the rain we've had. (lol)
I hope you'll join us on our 'Ribbon Hop', you should have arrived here from the very talented Gretha's blog, after me it's my ol' buddy Julie with I know something to inspire. If you want to start back at the beginning then check out Mina's amazing creation first (trust me, it'll be A-mazing!).
There are 2 spot prizes of $5 each to spend at Mo's Digital Pencil for 2 lucky folk that leave comments along the way.
I hope you enjoy our hop, have a groovy day!

A Vision of the Future

Many of you have commented on the the likeness on some of my recent cards to myself...namely the big-boobed, thunder-thigh characters. Well here's a vison of me in the future with Much Beloved.
Now, can't stop...gotta buy a dog and a skirt!

Cheers!

Ahoy Me Hearties!
At last all the UK water companies have realised that after 3 months of almost continuous rain, we are no longer experiencing a drought and have lifted the hosepipe ban. I think the waist-high water levels in peoples homes, roads that are now fast flowing rapids and the mass exodus of folk to the airports seeking warmer weather was the giveaway.
My banned hosepipe shall stayed locked away though as the weather here in ol' Blighty, in the the dizzy depths of summer, is apparantly NOT set to improve in the foreseeable future.
On that cheery note...here's my card for today. Cheers!

I Like to Moooooo It, Moooooo It!

I know what you're thinking...'Daft Cow!'...and in some ways you'd be quite right.
Trying to get some serious card making done this weekend. It's now 3.30pm on Sunday & I've managed to make 3 all weekend.
So, I'm going to love you n' leave you and crack on.

Feeling A Tad Batty

BUM!
I'm late with my Just Inklined posting this week, hopefully The Boss hasn't noticed & I can sneak this one in quickly while she's not looking.
We've had a mixed bag of weather this week...Rain, Drizzle, P....ing Down & Drowned-Rat Rain.
Looking ahead for the UK over the upcoming week is more rain so I officially declare summer over. Our local Clarks shoe shop is selling off all sandals at half-price & one of the assistants said they've already got their winter boots out the back ready to go on the shelf coz of the dreadful weather.
Anyway, gotta press 'Publish' or I'm dead meat!!...lol

Even More Vertically Challenged

Wotcha!
Thank you to everyone who left such awesome comments on my posting yesterday.
I decided to give myself a bit of a pedicure seeing as summer has arrived (checking the dictionarys definition of summer later).
Nothing's worse than gnarly ol' trotters in flip-flops so out came the flame thrower, chisel & sandpaper.
4 hours later, after some frantic scrubbing, shaving, filing & scraping, I've lost 2 stone in weight & am now 3 foot 'short'...result!

Just Inklined Blog Hop

Ahoy Fellow Bloggeroonies!
It's the Just Inklined Blog Hop and I'm your hostess taking your coats at the door & serving drinks & nibbles.
Make yourself comfortable and enjoy what the team have to offer.
I chose the theme of Monochromatic (1 colour) and here's my card...
There's so many fabulous images to choose from, so I went for Baby Line which is just soooo cute.
No colouring with Promarkers this time, they're on a well deserved vacation, I've gone for PINK paper-piecing using a selection of gorgeous papers from the Papermania Lucy Cromwell collection.
I hope you'll join in with our hop & check out the magical creations of the rest of the gang.
As the hostess, you're in the right place if you want to start at the beginning, next up it's the uber-talented Joyce.
A little bird tells me there are spot prizes up for grabs for 2 lucky peeps who leave a comment along the way.
Grab a cocktail sausage and enjoy hopping along with us!
xx
