Groovy Man

Mr C has finally come out of the closet.
Unfortunately it was the one where he'd stashed away his 70's gear.
Forgive the short posting...I have a date with a wardrobe & a match!

Warm n' Fuzzy

Here yer go...a warm n' fuzzy feeling card to warm your cockles.
I've been watching the news today about hurricane Sandy that's approaching the US. It's hard to comprehend, as a resident of Blighty, that this storm is almost 1000 miles wide and 60 million people are affected.
I hope all my bloggy friends across the pond have taken cover...I wish you all well, stay safe!

Who Wears the Trousers?

.

Clearly Derek wears the trousers...BUT Deirdery decides which day!
There's a bit of a Barry White moment going on between these two...can you feel it?
The only thing that seems to be missing is a rolling pin which I'm sure is quick to hand for Deirdery should poor ol' Derek step outta line!
You can buy this handsome couple as separate digi's or together (as fate intended!)

Mittens Poised

Found this card that I forgot to blog...note the sun shining in the background...those were the days.
A busy day ahead sewing elastic on my mittens to thread thru' my anorak sleeves...temperatures set to plummet...Brrrrr.
Stay warm kids.

Choose Your Anemones Wisely

Japanese Anemones are beautiful plants, easy to grow, reliable & elegant.
But...unless you keep an eye on them they'll be tapping you on the shoulder as you sleep at night, following you to work or joining you for dinner at your favourite restaurant across town!

The digi Japanese Anemone from Just Inklined is far less rampant but equally fabulous!

On the Run...Again!

'Ahoy' Keep-Fit Fans...
And 'Ahoola' to you more relaxed mortals!
Just making this card has worn me out...it's hard work operating a pair of scissors & a guillotine let alone removing the lids off my Promarkers.
This chap's just too fit for me...I'm off for a lie down.

Older and Wiser?

Older?
Just a tad.
Wiser?
I think...NOT!
Tiz my birthday today...WOOP! WOOP!
The card above was made by my uber talented daughter Sophie...

...and this one by the creative genius that is my son Oliver.
As you can tell, he'd got his mitts on some of my recent craft purchases but I was amazed at what he had produced, stamping the background trees again without re-inking so it looked like even more trees behind.
I was lucky and got another selection of Adirondack inks for my birthday but then the dilemma of how to store them....cue visit to DIY stores & craft shops ...nothing.
Came home and found this old box in a wardrobe that had been a posh wine-glass gift-box. See! I knew it would come in handy one day...lol.
It'll probably collapse before the week is out...but it's holding up for now!
And there's my growing collection of new inks on the bottom shelf...sighhhhh.
Off to catch up on some DT stuff...have a great week everyone.

The Hills Are Alive....

Sing Julie! Sing!
My latest venture into the world of ink pads continues. I've found some inspiring tutorials on tearing paper to create landscape effects and made this just using Adirondack Lettuce ink (not real lettuce...before some of you start squeezing a Cos!!)
Dead easy to do (she says after 146 attemps, replacing the carpet & re-decorating the walls) and I am now officially an ink pad addict.
Off to find a support group. ..lol

Mo's Digital Pencil Blog Hop

Ahoy!
It's Blog Hop time again for the Dream Team featuring the amazing work of Mo Manning AKA Mo's Digital Pencil
Our hostess this month is Gretha and she's chosen the theme of...
'Use an Animal on a Christmas Card'

I've designed a card for my sister-in-law & her barking mad husband who have a dopey dog called Igor.
Of course, once they see this image I shall be on a plane to a secret destination to avoid the swipes of the rolling-pin I fear my SIL will be aiming my way...lol!!!
I've used the Kisses For My Sweet set which includes this beautiful couple, mistletoe, bells, a heart & butterflies. The dog is one of the three images from the Lazy Mutt set.
I've given them a frosty, moonlight look as they kiss under the mistletoe with Card Candy snow falling around them. I've used Promarkers & Adirondack inks.
If you're joining in with our hop then you should have arrived here from Kerttu's beautiful blog. After me it's our Julie with a creation to inspire. To go back to the beginning, Gretha's at the starting-line.
There are 2 x $5 vouchers up for grabs to spend at Mo's shop for 2 peeps who leave comments along the hop...so good luck and enjoy!

On The Run?

Not quite sure if Harold (above) has just been topping up on his groceries or is on the run.
By the look of his stash...baguette, sun lotion and bottle of plonk I'd say he was leggin' it!

You can find Harold & a host of other groovy 'Wrinklies' over at Just Inklined.

Strictly Come Dancing

When not knee deep in mud & waist deep in weeds I can be found flitting like a prima ballerina though the flowerbeds.
There's nowt more refreshing than casting aside ones wellies & dibber and slipping into a frilly, pink tutu and pirouetting through the pansies.

Spoooooooky!

Wooooooooooo!
The observant among you will have noticed I have been getting all inky of late and have been experimenting with a variety of effects that I've been learning online.
I've finally got round to using a caddy of Whispers Inks that I bought 6 years ago, alas they're a bit dry so this card took hours to get the ink layered up. I've got some lush Adirondacks on order & I've now bought some proper Rangers foam pads and blending is def' much easier than cotton wool pads.
I've made this as a New Home card for some weird relatives of mine.
Can't stop...small children to spook!

Fit Bloke

Afternoon Campers!
Have been rather AWOL of late, work has been busy, the ol' mo-jo's been on vacation and I've been struggling to put ink to paper.
But a sharp slap with a pickled kipper and a damn good whipping with a limp lettuce leaf and I'm back!
Now I know summer's been n' gawn but feast your eyes on some fitness in the shape of this Surfer Dude to warm your cockles...nuff said...enjoy and have a groovy week!
