A Taste of Paradise

Clearly I have wayyyyyyyy too much time on my hands....3 cards in 3 days ... it's a miracle.
Today's card features some beautiful stamps from My Favorite Things (MFT), 'Birds of Paradise' & 'Blissful Blooms' and my Zig markers...AGAIN!

I got so carried away making this one that I forgot to photograph the pens I used for each area so I've taken a snap of all those I used.

Loads of masking, Wink of Stella and googly eyes.

And....for the final touch...3 essential sequins.

Ok, that's it from me today. I'm off to show our Sof' what a duster & vacuum cleaner are for before she goes to uni'.
Have a great week!

Ooooh....Get Me!

Ok...so my New Years Resolution, albeit a late one, is to post my 'efforts' as soon as they're finished.
Having fallen in love with Altenew's 'Garden Grow' stamp set that I used on yesterday's CAS card, I thought I'd go for a NonCAS version today.

This is the stamp set and the stencil for the brickwork that I used called 'Mini Bricks' from The Crafters Workshop.

I used super sticky post-its to make masks so that I could layer the images.

As before, I've photographed as I've gone along so you can see which pens I've used and ...

... again on this card I've dug out the ol' Zigs.

Not sure about my dodgy brick colouring, but you get the idea.

Ta-da!
A splash of glossy accents, a swish with the ol' Wink of Stella et job done.
Now, off to order a job-lot of Kleenex. The countdown to fav' daught' leaving home for uni' has begun and I need to prapare myself for a monster blubbing session...from me, not our Sof'... she can't wait to go.
Catch you later x

Miss You

As much as I love this card, it was made with a heavy heart.
One of my clients passed away suddenly last week, I'd worked for her for 5 years and she'd also become a good friend.

For my card I've used one of Altenew's latest releases 'Garden Grow'. I fell in love with this stamp set instantly and I think I'd go as far to say this is my 'favouritist' stamp set out of any I've ever bought.

I've used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to colour in my images and because I was using them as markers rather than with water as watercolours I didn't need to emboss my images as the ink didn't bleed over the lines.

I've photographed the pens so that you can see what colours I've used.

I confess I've spent so much time stroking these pens, I love them so much. They are easy to use, are great for blending and mixing colours of your own, either tip-to-tip or on a craft sheet, and they are a dream for creating even more colours.

I used a sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches...

... and added some glossy accents.

If you love gardening you will love this stamp set.
Rest in peace my dear friend x

Thank Yee Kindly

An uber quick post from me today.....'thank heavens' I hear you say.
I made this card for one of our neighbours as a 'thank you' for some punnets of strawberries that he shared with us.
Everybody needs good neighbours.

Zig Clean Color Brush Markers

After alot of procrastinating, umming n' arrrring, pondering, going back & forth , heaps of indecisiveness and general faffing about, I have completed my collection of Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.
Following my recent post on these markers, I've added a handful more, mainly browns, greens & the fabulous fluorescent colours and I'm sure I've now got all the colours I love and need.
I do find that embossing your stamped images before using these pens helps to stop the ink bleeding over the lines.
I'm in the UK & got mine from Cult Pens, bought individually so that I could choose the colours I wanted.
100% recommend!!

Sequin Storage

I know I'm a little late to the latest must-have crafting accessory ...Sequins. So I  thought I'd share my wee storage solution because, let's face it, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to everything being neat n' tidy. (Think 'Sleeping with the Enemy'...lol)

I got my mitts on this cute (gotta be cute) little Anita's storage box from The Range for £2.99 and a selection of sequins from Lucy's Cards, Hobbycraft & Dovecraft.

Once I'd emptied the contents into their own individual slot (and picked up those that decided to fall on the floor, stick to my static arms, legs....you get the picture) I cut up the packaging labels and added them to the lid to remind me where I bought them from.

Job done!
It's the simple things in life.

Ageless

Twaz Mr C's birthday last week.
It was a bigun' but we don't like to talk numbers anymore.
The offspring & I arranged a whole day of entertainment and as many gifts to match his age....loads (Ahem!)
This is the card I made for him, minus his age, & it features images from the MFT stamp set 'Things with Wings', coloured with Zig Brush markers & a sentiment from Winnie & Walter. I noticed the night before his big day that I'd forgotten to add 'Happy' to the message so added that on after this photo was taken.
We had a fabulous day and there was no mention of his age....

Enjoy your weekend.
