Craft Party Finished Products

So this was the result of yesterdays Craft Party, keychains made by Sof n' the Gang!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 24 - Inky Fingers

This is my DT card for this fortnights challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers. The challenge is to use ink/stains/mists of some sort on your design. You can keep it minimal such as edging around your card or really go to town and make backgrounds. Although promarkers and copics are ink they'll only be valid if you do something other than colour your image in with them such as colouring flowers or ribbons to match or making your own backgrounds.
The challenge is being sponsored by The Stampman who is offering one lucky, lucky Bloggeroony £10 to fritter in their lovely shop, where at the momento P&P is FREE!!!!
So, for my card I've used Sailboat, Pool & Silver Adirondack alcohol inks on glossy card to create the "splodgy" sea & sky background by simply adding a few spots of each colour on the applicator tool. The gorgeous image is a digi from Tiddlyinks coloured with ProMarkers and mounted onto the background with foam pads, the tree has been stamped out again & decoupaged. The whole image has clear Sakura & glitter-glue highlights.

Phew!!!

This was the scene BEFORE Sophie (in the blue) & her friends got started at their Crafting Party yesterday. They all made keychains that I got from Scrap Revolution for their bags. I'm in the middle of glazing their fabulous creations for added protection & will try & post an AFTER photo later. The "scene" after wasn't the carnage I expected & they all seemed to really enjoy their Crafting Day - def' recommend this as a party option as it kept them entertained for over 3 hours & it was so easy to set up!

Donna's Den Challenge No.2

Onto my card...well...the image is a Lilybean Fairy beauty from Pollycraft Designs, coloured with ProMarkers, mounted onto a scalloped circle using my nesties and the papers are more gorgeousness from Making Memories Fabulous Maddi collection. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's work & good luck!!

This bizarre card was a request from my crazy hairdresser for one of her friends (don't ask!!). The backing paper is from Doodlebug, the sentiment (again, don't ask!) is run thru' my Cuttlebug with a scalloped, circle nestie with gem highlights and the footballs are peel-offs mounted onto white card.

Happy Father's Day!

You know when your children do something that gives you such a lump in your throat you can't speak...well this is one of those moments. These cards were made by Oliver & Sophie for their Dad for Father's Day. The BBQ Dragon (Olivers) is a digi from Doodle Dragon - Dustin Pike, coloured with ProMarkers & cut out & mounted with foam pads (the message he wrote inside is a real tear jerker!). The Cheesey card was all Sophies idea, she covered a card with a yellow Basic Grey paper (not sure which collection, poss' June Bug) and then used a circle punch to cut out the cheesey holes. I help a little bit with the circles in the middle coz she needed to use a craft knife (I feared loss of blood would change it from Swiss cheese to Edam!!). The font is called Accent Swiss Cheese. Well done kids!!! Entering them at -

Alcohol...I mean...Alcohol Inks!!

Yay! My first ever card using alcohol inks. The Fairy on Tiptoe stamp is from the ever so gorgeous Lili of the Valley, coloured with ProMarkers with Sakura glitter pen highlights. She's mounted onto a scalloped circle using my nesties & Cuttlebuglet. The flowers were made by "splodging" (technical term!!) Raspberry, Purple Twilight & Watermelon alcohol inks that I got from Inkylicious onto glossy card and then hiring Oliver (who was paid handsomely with a Nobbly Bobbly ice-lolly!) to sit and punch teeny flowers using a Woodcraft punch. Trust me! Kids will do anything for a Nobbly-Bobbly - Try it!! Entering it at -

RAK for Bella

Hi everyone.I would ask you to all pop over to Stamp Something Challenge where there is an appeal to get involved in a Hop & to consider a RAK for a little girl called Bella Tucker. Bella is 8 years old & developed a serious illness on Easter. Although the survival rate was very low, she was a brave fighter and made it through a 5 day coma. Unfortunately, she lost her arms and legs to the disease. To see Bella's story please click here http://www.bellatucker.org/. If you would like to send Bella a card her address is:

All papers used are from the new, gorgeous Basic Grey Cappella collection mounted onto card with the bottom corners rounded off. The shirts are an origami pattern that I found in a magazine but there are a variety of videos on You Tube showing a slightly different technique...dead easy!
So that's me done...don't forget to check out the rest of the lovely DTs cards too over at Crafty Cardmakers. There's a great prize on offer - a gift voucher to spend at Joanna Sheens online store...you lucky, lucky peeps!!!

Not responsible!!

Can I just say that most cards I make carry the wording chosen by others and I am in no way responsible for any repercussions!! In this case it's for a much loved (?) Mother-in-law (ouch!). This fab image is from Mo's Digital Pencil  but I've overlaid the broomstick brush-end with the chosen banner message. Some folk live dangerously!! I've got to make another card for this poor woman with just a broomstick!! Anyway...gulp... she's been coloured with ProMarkers & her hat, cauldron and cat mask have been printed out again, decoupaged and glazed. Entering it at -

Hero Time!

Haven't posted much lately as I've had a headache the size of a planet for a week, the medication I was prescribed had "Headaches" listed as Common Side-Effects My headache has now turned to headspasms and now I've discovered that I can only use the computer if I sit low to the ground sitting on a bean-bag! I only type a dozen words before cramp kicks in & I have to shake my arms about like a woman- possessed!! Making cards whilst lying on yer back ain't easy either. Now today I have ruddy hayfever-type-symptoms, tissues everywhere & a Rudolph-nose in June!! Oh for heavens sake someone give me a Slap!! Managed to make this card between the dribbling...it's Super George from Charmed Cards and Crafts decoupaged & coloured with ProMarkers & glazed. Entering it at -
