Wake Up and Smell the ...Lavender!

Bizarre title I know...but there you go...It's Tuesday, what do you expect!?

I made this for a pals birthday today (Happy Birthday Charlotte!). It's a beautiful stamp called 'Clusters' from Penny Black, coloured with Promarkers with mauve gem tips to the flowers. Punched flower border & another random scattering of flowers. A lot of 'randomness' going on this week!

An alcohol-indulged frenzy took place on this card...and NOT a drop passed my lips. Mind you I was leaning over the evaporating liquid, inhaling 'Big-Time' as it dried...waste not, want not!!

I used Sail Boat Blue, Pool and Silver alcohol inks with splashes of blending solution and a few turquoise dew drops randomly scattered. I've not added a sentiment yet, will add when the occasion arises.

Having spent the evening celebrating my new job with a cup of tea & a garibaldi I then couldn't sleep last night with all the excitement, so I'm using sellotape (other sticky tapes are available!) to hold my eyes-lids open. Favourite daughter also had to get up V.early this morning as she's off to Paris for the weekend on a school trip. A wee lump in my throat as the coach slipped away in the distance...weep!

This is Scarlette from Bugaboo enjoying a 'tipple' of the strong stuff. Coloured with Promarkers, with DP's from the Wild Rose Studio 'In Love With Japan' collection & flower embellies made from flowers cut from the same collection curled & flittered with glitter with blue flower gem centres.
