If you're looking for Lurv, then you'll find it on the Best of Just Inklined 2012 cd alongside a whole host of other fabulous images. This digi is Greased Lightning, one of over 200 images squeezed onto a tiny cd that's already heaving with 300 scrapbooking pages & elements.
If that's not exciting enough then the fact it's New Years Eve should help you on your way.
Whatever you're up to tonight...have a great evening & I'll see y'all next year!

Hmmmm....Great You Look!

A wiseman once said... “When 900 years old you reach… Look as good, you will not, hmmm?”
The same (so-called) wiseman also said..."Good relations with the Wookiees, I have." (ahem!)
What Ambrose Dunderton (above) may lack in knowledge & wisdom he sure knocks the pants off Yoda when it comes to high fashion and carpet slippers.
"Much to learn you still have" Yoda about the catwalk.

Let Them Eat Cake

NOT!
This is the warning being issued by the RSPB following the unusual rise in bird obesity in the Hertfordshire area over the past 2 years. It appears that 'someone' (their identity is not being disclosed) has being putting out 'failed Christmas' cakes, that had been rejected by the building industry as house-bricks, to the birds in the North Herts area.
It seems birds arrive in gardens in peak condition...
(Norman the pigeon)

...and then find themselves unable to take off, with chronic indigestion and requiring the assistance of the emergency services to air-lift them to the gym for a work-out having indulged in said festive offering.
Officials have been reassured that the cake offender, who is believed to be a cateringly-challenged female, about 21 years old (ahem!), lacking in height and with a thing for George Clooney has in fact given up entirely in her attempt to bake a Christmas cake and has been caught on CCTV this year purchasing a rather natty one from a Tesco supermarket. Despite this assurance, the public are still advised that she may be armed with a dibber or trowel so approach with caution...and if you're offered cake...RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Not Over...

...until the Big Fella has delivered the last remaining gift aboard his trusty sleigh.
Yes...this is 'Surfin' Santa from the digital stethoscope that is Doctor Digi's House of Stamps.
After all his deliveries on Christmas Eve you will find ol' Santa slapping on the sun-screen & surfin' waves somewhere hot n' steamy and NOT sat at home trumping on a brussel sprout like the rest of us.
Oh no-ho-ho-ho-ho....now he is a Wise Man!

Mo's Digital Pencil Blog Hop

Ahoy fans of Mo's Digital Pencil.
It's our final Blog Hop for 2012, so as your hostess this month I thought I'd stir things up a bit in the Dream Team camp with my chosen theme of .......
CAS (CLEAN & SIMPLE).
Never in my life have I seen so many toys thrown out of the team pram as when I announced my theme. Threats to triple, even quadruple, the number of embellishments & papers normally used on cards have been made...it's got so bad I've had to call in MI5 & MI6 to monitor my fellow teamies contributions to this CLEAN & SIMPLE theme.
So here you go...my CLEAN & SIMPLE card using Sheep.
I hope you'll join in with our hop this month, if only to help me 'Police' the use of embellishments by the rest of the gang. As I'm at the beginning you'll need to pop over to our Julie's next. Beware, Julie is the 'Embellishment Queen' so don't forget 'CLEAN & SIMPLE'....lol.
If you spot any flowers, gems, acres of ribbon and cards with oooodles of general fabbiness along the way let me know and I'll release the hounds!
Oooh...before you go...if you'd like the chance to get your mitts on a $5 voucher to spend at Mo's Digital Pencil then leave comments along the hop as there are 2 spot prizes up for grabs.
Good luck & enjoy!

Feeling Fruity

Morning Fruitcakes!
If you're suffering from Christmas card overload then your visit here today is quite safe.
Not a snowflake, snowman or snowy scene to be found.
No snow...Nowt! Nothing! Nada!
So here you go...raspberries! I fell in love with Flourishes Stamps after being inspired week in & week out by the amazing Dawn over at My Stamping Thyme and now I've found them on sale in the UK I'm so excited to have finally got my hands on a set (or 2...ahem!)
After wrongly accusing my printer of gross misconduct earlier in the week I was forced to buy flowers, a fruit basket and make a card by way of an apology, so this card is perfect (although it should read 'Life without my beloved Printer is like a Life without Card Stash')...it seems printers do hold grudges!

A Close Shave

A close shave...but not of the leg hair variety. No, it's winter for goodness sake, one needs as much natural 'foliage' as possible to stay warm on those days when Mr C has his Scrooge-Heating-Head on.
The close shave came in the form of a last minute reprieve for the printer which almost met the sharp end of a heavy implement yesterday.  Mid afternoon, after almost 24hrs of wrestling with wires & instructions, installing & uninstalling, pressing this button & that knob and having a major nervous breakdown, in rode my knight in shining armour (well...my genius-with-a-compoooooter-brother turned up in his silver Renault Megane ) and saved the day. That said, it took him a further 5 hours to work out that the printer was working fine and that a heap of Windows updates had messed up the printers program and my poor fluffy-bunny-wunny-printer-winter (that's enough sucking-up!) was innocent all the time (Gulp!)
Hoorah for my Bro'!
This was to be my final Christmas card posting this year but I've missed 2 people (EEK!) so I may have a couple more to share later in the week. Thank goodness my darling, sweet, gorgeous printer is working (do you think printers hold grudges?)

Season of Goodwill

Don't get me wrong. I know it's the season of goodwill...but that's to 'all men'.
There's no mention of Printers in this festive phrase and so today visitors to our house will find me in a state of angst throttling the printer, cables, discs & associated paraphernalia with gay abandon.
I won't take long...a swift blow with an axe I've just been n' purchased should do the trick and then everything will be back to normal.

Meanwhile...to drown out the cries of the soon-to-be-ex-printer here's my penultimate selection of Christmas cards for this year (Phew!)
If you want any details on stash used just drop me.

Are we done yet?

Almost there....
There! Done!
Now...can't stop...I need to work on my alibi incase the Printer Police come a-knockin'.

Let There Be Lights...Lots of Them!!

Hi everyone.
If you're of the Christmas celebratory persuasion then I hope your plans for the big day are going well. A big 'UP' to all the crazy folk who have adorned their homes with as many festive decorations & lights as their electricity supplier can cope with. We have a simple line of red berry balls & blue, twinkly lights outside, just enough to light up the front door...not enough to confuse incoming planes that our drive is a runway strip!
Here's another selection of Christmas cards for your delight & delectation.
Fat Cat Fred (Papercraft Essentials download)

Four Square Snowmen - Sassy Cheryl

Peelies

Snowman - Lily of the Valley

Have a fabulous day and I'll see you tomorrow with my penultimate selection of festive cards.

Naughty or Nice?

Morning All!
Stick me on the Naughty List this week and brace yourselves for a rush of Christmas cards over the next day or so. I've had so many commisions this year (Thank you everyone!!) but not got round to posting them all, so if you're currently in 'Christmas Card Overload' rehab' you may wish to look away....Now!
With only 10 days to go until the big day, excitement in our house has reached fever-pitch. Yes! Our annual rush to buy the Christmas Radio Times has already taken place. We only buy the Christmas edition, not to check out the TV listings for the festive period but for the Mega-Cryptic-You'll-Never-Complete-In-A-Million-Years crossword on the inside back cover. During these cold winter nights, Mr C & I can be found snuggled up under a ream of paper, armed with pens, a dictionary and a jumbo thesauras going crazy trying to understand the insane minds of the people who write the clues. We sure know how to live it up!

Snow Joke

Hey Everyone!
I hope you're all managing to stay warm (if you're in Blighty) as it's f-f-f-f-f-freeeeeezing outside.
Yesterday we had a 'slight' covering of the white stuff, just a light dusting but enough to throw the whole of the UK into disarray and grind some areas to a halt.
Popped out today for some random purchases, blankets for the kids beds, a Carbon Monoxide alarm, cyclamen and Christmas dinner. Posted all our cards, postage cost more than making all the cards...sheeesh! Just Mr C's gift to get now, otherwise I'm all done. I'm going to cocoon myself indoors now until Spring and get some serious card-making done.

Q.Why do skeletons hate winter?
A.Because the cold goes right thru' them.
Cue tumbleweed moment.......

Twitter

The birds are back in the garden stuffing themselves silly in preparation for the cold weather ahead.
Some are regular feathered friends of the Tidy Garden.
Take Norman the Wood Pigeon, not the brightest of birds. The other day I watched as he pecked his way through a slice of bread. His table manners aren't particularly great, he has a habit of flicking his food across the lawn with each bite. On this occasion though, the daft-arse flicked the slice over his head onto his back and then stood gormlessly looking about wondering where it had gone!
The he gave up & wandered off to find more grub, still wearing his stale Warbuton's accessory.
It was like a panto scene with me yelling from the window "It's behind you!!!!"
Then arrived Mr Blackbird, who's clearly undecided as to which side of the fence he sits.
It all goes on in our garden.

Just Inklined Blog Hop

Morning Everyone!
It's the first Monday of the month which means Blog Hop time for the gang at Just Inklined.
Our hostess this month is Karen L and her chosen theme is 'All That Glitters'.
Now I've uploaded my cards on to ol' Blogger the glitter isn't really showing but I can assure you ALL the snow is silver glitter & the rick-rack ribbon is sparkly silver too....honest guv'!
This is just a couple of examples of the cards I've made for my lovely gardening clients this year.
I've used the beautiful Robin on a Watering Can,  coloured with Promarkers, 'oooooodles' of glitter and papers from the Papermania 'Deck the Halls' collection.
If you're joining in with our hop then you should have arrived here from our very own glittery Jak's blog, after me it's Lori for a sparkly sensation. If you want to start back at the beginning then Karen L's the place to be for a dusting of twinkle.
There are 2 spot prizes somewhere along the hop for 2 lucky bloggers who leave a comment, so good luck and enjoy!

Celebration!

What better way to celebrate the final Christmas card being made, written & sealed than with a humongous cake!
Now there's a story in itself...brace yourselves. Favourite daughter, who is cateringly-challenged like her mother, asked this afternoon if she could make meringue biscuits. At this moment the usual 'alarm bells of fear' failed to work. Somehow (insanely) I said 'go for it'...clearly my brain had not defrosted from standing on the freezing touch-line of my son's football match ealier in the day.
A simple recipe resulted in:-
Favourite son splattered with meringue mix,
Favourite daughter requiring a complete change of clothes following a struggle with a food mixer (on high speed) and a giant box of icing sugar,
A vacuum cleaner to clear the air of the icing sugar smog,
EVERYTHING in the kitchen needing wiping down and...
A small fire!
There's never a dull moment in our house.

Brrrrrrrrr!

Evening campers!
I hope you've all had a good week and are now bathing in the joyous news that the weekend has finally arrived....Hoorah!
It's been the most beautiful cold, crisp & sunny day today AND I've watched it all from my warm, snuggly end of the sofa....Perfect!
I'm hoping (and I use the word 'hoping' loosely) to finally get all my Christmas cards finished over the weekend, how are you all doing with yours? I've made about 60 odd and I think I've got another 20 to do.
Tomorrow the ladder comes out and the loft hatch cobwebs dusted away as I shimmy Mr C up to retrieve the Christmas decorations.....Woo! Hoo!
I hope you all have a great weekend x

That Perfect Gift...

Tiz the most inclement of days out today, the wind's blowing the rain horizontally across the garden and it's F-F-F-Freezing too.
Time for a hot bath...hmmmm...wonder if Mr C would like a shower cap for Christmas?

Yippee!

I hope I find you all well.
Some areas of Blighty have had the most awful weather this weekend. I feel so sorry for all those people whose homes have been flooded. Thankfully we don't live anywhere near rivers or in a low lying area but we did get really strong winds last night, I'm amazed the fences were still standing this morning.
This evening Mr C opened the back door & there was the longest, weirdest of rumbles of thunder I've ever heard. No lightening, just a continuous roar that sounded more like something from that film War of the Worlds where the alien machines rise from the earth...very scary, long and loud...then it was gone....Bizarre.
Thank you everyone for your kind messages to my Sophie. The 'Yippee' is for her...the medication is working at last!
Have a great weekend y'all.

Gawn Fishing

Angling Andy sure has got a whopper and the 'smuggiest' of smug looks to boot.
No sign of a fishing rod though...hmmmm....me thinks he's cheated with a trip to the fishmongers.
Kids won't remember Fishmongers, Butchers or Bakers...they were from the black n' white days.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Panic Stations!

"Silent Night (not)
Choking, snoring, spluttering night
All aint calm
I look a sight"
After a 3rd night sleeping on a dodgy blow-up bed on the floor in our Sof's bedroom while she's poorly, my usual Elle Macpherson look first thing in the morning has been missing of late.
It's like being woken up every 2 hours by a meerkat, in this case it's to dispense pain killers rather than fluffy toys. Fingers crossed that she's possibly turning a corner today in her recovery. She's reached a 3/10, having been 2/10 for the past 2 weeks on the 'How Rubbish Do You Feel' scale (which is an official medical tool!)

Now...there comes a point in everyones life when sheer terror & panic sets in. For some it's the sight of a spider, for others it's a scary movie and for many it's toast accidently covered in Marmite.
For us crafters it's Christmas suddenly appearing days, rather than months, away.
Brace yourselves...31 days to go (minus 29 in order to give postie time to deliver...lol)
Panic stations! I have resorted to using some peelies, yes I know...'groan'...peelies (there...said it again)...peelies, peelies, peelies... to make a lot of CAS cards for Mr C alongside dies from Memory Box & Cheery Lynn & some gems.
I know I've sinned...forgive me.
