Such A Chimp

Greetings Earthlings!
In some ways Grumpy Monkey from Doctor Digi’s House of Stamps and I are quite similar.
He spends all day picking fleas out of his pals, I spend all day picking the kids bits n’ pieces up. He swings from tree to tree, I fly from room to room.
Both of us prefer the great outdoors rather than being cooped up inside and he has a big, red bum which is where the similarities end!
At the moment he’s a FREEBIE so grab him quick & why not treat yourself to some other goodies at the Docs place while you’re there.

Ahoy me hearties!
I hope you’re all well &, in soggy, cold Blighty, looking forward to the long Bank Holiday weekend ahead.
We’re in the midst of some interior home decorating at the moment, as well as transforming the garden (again…lol). We’re starting with our son’s bedroom, out with all the Simpsons & Chelsea football club paraphernalia and in with something for the more mature young man.
The garden? Well, those who follow my gardening blog, Tidy Gardens by Jane, will know that’s a forever changing scene, I’m such a fidget!
My card today uses one of my own digi designs, printed twice, coloured with Promarkers with gem centres.

A Bit of Razzle Dazzle

No papers, digis, pens or embellies were harmed in the making of this card. In fact, several Promarkers took the day off & put their little feet up while I had a play with my new purchases…Doodlebug Fancy Frills.

The Day After the….Day Before!

Morning All!
Thought I’d share with you today the cards made for me by my weird awesome offspring for Mother’s Day yesterday. The one above was made by my favourite daughter Sophie…of course I use the term ‘favourite’ extremely loosely as from the front you would be forgiven for thinking that she is such a sweet girl who loves her mum dearly by producing such a beautiful work of art.

And then there’s my favourite son’s creation….

….hmmmmmm I think he was referring to my Nicki Minaj physique by making this card. Wasn’t sure if I was s’pose to strangle him in a Homer / Bart Simpson style or give him a hug…..answers on a postcard please!
So there you go….my stash of bubble baths has been replenished & a pot of Hyacinths & Daffs’ adorn the kitchen window sill so I have forgiven the little monsters angels (cough!)

A Homer Moment

Poor Oskar, he appears to be having one of those ‘Homer Simpson’ moments….DOH! Not quite sure where he’s going, what he was doing or how did he get here. Just about sums up my life really…DOH!

You can add knitting to my list of ‘Can’t Do’s’ along with cooking, darning & brain surgery.Knitty Nora however, is a dab hand with the ol’ needles & yarn provided you like scarves, scarves or…oh yeah…scarves!
So if you’re rubbish at knitting like me then get hold of Nora from Doctor Digi's House of Stamps, she’ll sort you out.

Don’t Leaf It Out!

Now….don’t look at me in a weird way…(weirder than normal that is)…but I have a ‘thing’ for foliage. When looking for plants for the garden it’s not all about the flowers it’s also about what’s there before & after the blooms have faded. You may well have huge, bright, blousy petals or a scent sweet enough to fill the poshest perfumery but for me it’s like buying a complete outfit, looking your best from head to toe.
The Aquilegia fits the bill… delicate, neat, fern-like foliage that holds onto the morning dew like tiny diamonds and tall, slender stems topped with flowers that almost seem too shy to share their beauty as you sometimes have to lift their heads to appreciate them.
So a big shout out for foliage from me today (maybe I am a tad weird).

Busy Bee

Got a bit of a snuffle today so have been banished to my crafty corner of the sofa to keep out of every ones way
with a bag over my head so as not to spread my germs…Charming! I may get out of catering & other chores if I play my cards right.
Meanwhile, Bee is a busy bee but I’m glad she sometimes takes time out to sit back & enjoy the flowers.
