My Halloween Kids - Run For The Hills!!!!!!

Have just taken the kids out for their annual "scare the **** outta the neighbours" night.
Left Neil at home to scare the little kids who dared to knock at our hovel!!
Happy Halloweeeeeeen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi-Ya!

After yesterdays trip to the London Dungeons you will be glad to know I have fresh underwear!!!
Having queued for just over 3 HOURS to get in, I have to say it was quite a disappointment. OK, so I pooped a bit on the boat ride & squealed like a girl on the scarey drop-ride but both lasted less than 2 mins. We were rushed from room to room, had no time to read any of the stories on the walls & so much of it was just dark rooms with a voice & some water-spray or a blast of air. So glad we had Tesco vouchers otherwise the £80 entry fee sure would have made me cry!!
The kids & Neils loved the London Eye whilst I sat on a post watching them spin round. It was quite dark by the time we arrived but it was all so beautifully lit up. This was worth the money!
My card today is for a young man that you wouldn't want to cross as he's a purple & white belt in karate (apparently that's v. good, I thought it just kept your gown from coming undone!)
I must say a big THANKYOU to Yolanda Derstine for giving this free digi.
Coloured with PM's and the DP & gems are from Papermania.

Testing! Testing! 123!

Hope this has worked...keep trying to schedule posts to appear but they never do, so I'm trying again.
Day 3 of the kids half-term holiday was mainly spent shoving things in the washing machine & letting it work its magic. Sophie was a slave to her school assessments and Oliver made cakes. Think he's got quite a talent in the ol' kitchen that's why we named him Oliver James! Tomorrow (or is it Today...now I am confused!!) we're hopefully off to London (thankfully NOT shopping!!) but to visit the London Eye...although not me coz I can't stand heights and The London Dungeons which will probably scare the B-Jeepers out of me (note to self...take fresh knickers!!!)
My card is a House Mouse decoupage for my SILs Xmas Gift Set.
Have a great day everyone xxx

Ooh! Dainty...

You'll be glad to know that I made good use of Day 2 of the kids Half Term holiday yesterday! Not wanting them to be bored & restless I armed them with a collection of new toys, namely a Vacuum Cleaner, Duster, Polish & a Fluffy Thing on a Stick! Oh! What fun they had!
I took this opportunity to relax on my chaise longue & eat grapes whilst being fanned with a palm leaf!
Day 3 is just beginning...hmm...what to do?
My wee cardlet today was made with a stamp called Modesty from Penny Black. The flowers & leaves have been decoupaged & coloured with PM's & Stickles, the glittery butterflies are table confetti & the sentiment is a rub-on from Kaisercreaft.

It's Happened To Us All!!

I'm back - YAY!!!
So yesterdays "Day Trip" was a success...we left the Dentists with a "thumbs up" from the "nice lady"...but I think it was more to do with the fact I had saved her bacon.
The kids were seen first for their check-ups & came out with glowing reports, a sticker & a balloon each. This made me laugh as Sof's now 13 years old & Oliver's 10 going on 17!!! Whilst they sat in the waiting-room blowing up their new toys making rude - farty noises, I layed back on "the" chair and awaited my fate.

My hearing's rubbish & I was convinced the "nice lady" was asking me questions & I kept trying to answer with my mouth full of her hand!! So each time I came up for air, I had to ask her to repeat herself only to find out she was talking "dentist-speak" to her assistant. Then the dreaded words "you need an X-Ray" hit my deaf ears!
Off I trundled to what resembled a store-room next door, HUGE bits of plastic were wedged in my cheeks & my dentist made a quick exit before she was zapped with radiation. As she left I noticed her skirt was caught up in her knickers, I tried desperately to get her attention but it's almost impossible to breath let alone yell with yer gob full of dentistry equipment!!! So the door closed, I was alone & she was in the corridor of pateints!!! Upon her return I gave her the bad news (poor woman) and she then gave me good news (think that was pay-back) that my teeth were ok! PHEW!!
Are you still awake...?
Onto my card, this is another one to add to my SILs Xmas Gift Set. This is Melody in Love from Pollycraft coloured with ProMarkers & Stickles, the gorgeous autumnal paper is from my fav Basic Grey collection, Indian Summer, punched out mini-flowers with red gem centres.

Winter Wabbits!

BRRR!!! It's cold out today...but at least the sun's shining!
These Wabbits have got the right idea...snuggled down into a giant sock...I may have to get one of those single, giant boots that they try & sell to the elderly to pop their toesies into to keep warm whilst siiting in their armchairs. I nearly bought one for my MIl a couple of years ago but I had visions of her "hopping" in to the kitchen to make a cuppa still wearing "the" boot & wondering why I was too tight to buy one for "the other foot". It may have been worth it for comedy value...only joking!!!!
So these cosy Wabbits are from LOTV coloured with PM's, with 3d Glitter-paint sock fluff & punched holographic red snowflakes. mounted on to a Nellie Snellen oval framed backdrop.

ProMarkers Fans...Look Away!

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that my Vanilla ProMarker has faded away! The ending was quick..it just ran out! But it had lead a long & happy life and was well loved. I will, of course, leave it a few days before buying a new one!
*** RIP Vanilla ProMarker ***

Life's Little Treasures

It's my Birthday today - Woo! Hoo!
I've got my teeth in, a fresh blue-rinse, my zimmer's propped safetly next to my commode & I'm raring to go!
No card from me today...I did send one to myself but it's late, maybe I should have hand-delivered!!
These little treasures are from my fab offspring. I love The Owl series of kids cartoons so Sophie made me a brilliant card using my stash of crafty-goodness & an owl digi from Pollycraft.
Oliver's card, knowing I'm cat-mad (NOT mad as a cat!!) was made using a digi from Motivet & coloured with ProMarkers.
Making cards all day today...heaven! Have a good one all!! xxxx

Simple but NOT easy!

This was a simple card but not easy to make as we had a call last night to say my MILs elderly neighbour had passed away. She was a lovely lady who had given our Sophie lots of girly bits n' bobs over the years as she'd never had a grandaughter to share her trinkets with.
A stamped tree (sorry can't find out where I got it from - if anyone recognises it please let me know so I can give credit) with green gems, then mounted onto an embossed background with a peel-off sentiment.
RIP Gwynne xx

3 For a Girl!

Morning! Morning! Morning!
It's my Fav' day of the week...FRIDAY!!!
And thank goodness yesterday is over...following my meeting with the Magpie of Sorrow I then went onto ruin tea by evaporating away all the liquid in a shepherds-pie! Mind you...those who know me well will know that there's nothing really new in that as I am Officially "The Worlds Worst Cook...EVER!!!"
So on my journey home from the station this morning I was confronted by 3 Magpies (3 For a Girl!), again playing "dare" as I drove at them...they survived & hopefully for me, today will be a better day (Fingers crossed, ladders put away & black cats sprayed pink I should be ok!!!)
I've had an order for a lady celebrating her birthday on Halloween, so I've used Bella & Bronte from Mo's Digital Pencil, decoupaged & coloured with my faithful ProMarkers & Stickles. The stars are Xmas confetti.

Flamin' Magpie!!!

On my way home from dropping my OH at the station this morning a magpie (singular, therefore MAGPIE OF SORROW!!!) decided to play "dare" in the middle of the road, leaving it until the last milli-second to fly out of harms way & me being the superstitious-type I knew my day would be doomed!
I got home to find someone had knocked over a pot of cream in the fridge which was on the top shelf & had leaked like icing on everything below. Then I flooded the worktops when I knocked the running tap whilst trying to clean the creamy shelf bits. AHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness I made this card a few days ago...it's another one of my "accidental" purchases from LOTV on a scalloped nestie circle with Stickled punched snowflakes.

More Festive Cheer!

G'Day!
My card today is made using another one of those gorgeous stamps from LOTV, I kept going back to their shop and just drooling over their gorgeousness and suddenly one day several fell into my basket and before I knew it they were popping thru' the letterbox and it was too late! Does that happen to you? This is Winter Bunnies, coloured with PM's & stickles. The DP is from Dovecraft & I've cut out some more of the trees, stuck them to card & then mounted them around the image.

Just Skating By....

Morning Everyone! What a weekend...Saturday was spent trapsing up & down Oxford & Regents Street as Sophie wanted to experience shopping in London...NEVER AGAIN!!! What a disappointment...obviously unless you're a Gazzilionaire most of the shops are way out of reach & if you do go in you get "The" look.

Then there's the department stores where the first bit you walk through is the "Beautiful People" section of Perfume & Make-up. You need an inhaler to fight thru' the fog of scents and a tissue to dry your eyes from the hurt that you feel from that other "look" that says " don't bother stopping here...no end of foundation or lipstick can help you girlfriend!" I'm wondering if I'm getting old too...so much BANG!BANG!BANG! music, mad lighting & clothing that resembles something you'd keep your clothes-pegs or wash your smalls in...SIGH!

Sunday was a happier day, despite my back & feet ache, when Oliver played footie & scored an amazing goal from about a mile away by chipping the ball over everyone's heads!! (I know it's a "slight" exageration but that's a Mother's perogative!!).

So I've rambled too much about my weekend...onto my card which is a decoupaged Bella & Bronte Skating digi  from Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with ProMarkers & stickles with coloured peel-off trees.

Tuesday Tuesday! Trala...Tralalala!

Ahoy & Ahoola Me Hearties!
Feeling slightly less GRRRRRRRRRRR today but I fear it will return...do you get people that pass thru' your life that frustrate you so much that you start to think you're the one who's mad & doubt your own sanity?
Last night I dived from the highest point available into my pile of yummy crafty stash to escape the madness and managed to make 3 cards ( I could have stayed up all night...coz once you stop, you start thinking Grrrrrr thoughts again...then you can't sleep!)
So here's card numero 1...yay! on an Xmas card roll (prepared to be bored witless over the next few weeks!!)
This cutie is from the "Have an Ice Christmas" Penquin set from Pink Petticoat ,given the ol' PM  & Stickles treatment, the backing card is from DCWV, a few punched snowflakes here & and a bit of embossing there.
