A vision of loveliness...

Twas a bit cheeky in the playground last week & gave this to a friend Carol as her daughter is moving on up to secondary school & we wouldn't be meeting up anymore for our daily banter. I've used that digi of Flossie Bumblethorpe from Just Inklined again coz I love it...her outfit's been paper pieced with more papers from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection with a touch of bling and I've used a Nellie Multi frame oval die to create a mount using Bazzill card. The zimmer's been sakured with glitter.

Family Portrait

One of our friends, Sandra, has just had a baby (another girl) so I thought instead of the traditional "Birth" congratulations card I'd create a Family Portrait using the hilarious digi's from Prairie Fairy. All coloured with  ProMarkers with glazed highlights and gems. The backing paper is Chocolate Decadence from Doodlebug so when "Sandra the Chocoholic" is bored with the card she can eat it!!

Donna's Den - Challenge 4 - Green

Where are the days & weeks going? We're at Challenge No.4 already over at Donna's Den  and this fortnight we'd like to see your Green cards. This is my DT entry - I've put a square of Bazzill green card for the backing, then a strip of white card across the centre. I've then cut another strip of the green card and used my Nellie Snellen branch punch to create my leafy design. This strip has then been mounted on top of the white card strip with foam pads. The flowers (X-cut punch) are made from green & white card with green gem centres and I've added more leafy branches. So please pop over & join us, Donna's giving away a £10 voucher to fritter spend wisely in her shop Donna's Den of Crafts

Crafty CardMakers DT Card - Challenge 26 - Recipe

This fortnight over at Crafty Cardmakers our challenge for you lovely peeps is a Recipe We would like you to use stickers or punches, Orange or Yellow & use an Animal or Fish on your creation. We're being sponsored by Gurlee Girl with a fabberoony prize of a $20 gift voucher up for grabs......so dig out your mixing bowls, roll up your sleeves & join us.
I started with a white scalloped card, with a piece of Kanban Edwardian Orange card for the background. The fish are digi's from Bee Crafty printed out in different sizes, coloured with Pumpkin & Bright Orange ProMarkers & mounted with foam pads. I've run them through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder for a bit of texture and added orange Stickles Glitter to their fins. The underwater foliage is punched out from Doodlebug Sugarcoated Limeade, Tangerine & Bumblebee cardstock using a Nellie Snellen branch punch and the bubbles were punched using a household hole punch!

This was an order for a ladies OH & she thought this Just Snoozing digi from Digistamp Boutique had an uncanny resemblance to her NEW OH. The background & paper pieced sofa are from the Polka Dots stack by Wild Rose Studio, a dash of ProMarkers, a smidge of glaze & glitter & a few green pearls et voila!!

Living Dangerously...

This card has been made for my OH's Secretary...I should really have taken a picture of his face before she knocked the livin' daylights out of him!!! Hope she doesn't think it was my idea...I'll put "Made by Neil" on the back...that should cover me!! This is one of the amazing new Digi's from Just Inklined who have some hilarious Wrinklies like this one - Flossie Bumblethorpe. I've used papers from the Papermania Henbury Lane collection for her paper-pieced dress & used the same paper for the background. Coloured with PMs with Sakura clear glitter highlights. Created a blue gem necklace & added gems into the fruit on her hat. And...Strewth...I put a ribbon on and got it to tie straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Entering it at -

Tennis Anyone?

Personally I can't bear tennis, listening to all that moaning n' grunting (and that's before they've got on the pitch court!!) Thank goodness Wimbledon is over too...I'd rather eat my own arms than have to sit through a match! This card is for a friends Boss who apparently adores the sport...eek! This is George the Tennis-Player from Charmed Cards and Crafts, quite an easy one to colour as I left his outfit white but glazed it and used ProMarkers where there is a smattering of colour. Won't be entering this one at any colouring challenges!! The stripes behind are from the Making Memories SImply Fabulous Brooke collection.
Have a Great Day everyone!!

Crafty Cardmakers - Challenge 25 - Photo Inspiration

The challenge this time over at Crafty Cardmakers is a Photo Inspiration. Your design needs to take some inspiration from the picture above. Look at the colours (that's ProMarker pastel green, lime zest maybe) so it would be blues/greens or you may take the inspiration from the lovehearts and use them a lot on your design (which can be any colour) You need to take at least ONE element ie, the colours, the texts or hearts or why not go the whole hog!!! Our sponsor this fortnight is Joanna Sheen!!!
So here's my DT card  and I've chosen to take the colour & loveheart elements. The hilarious couple (looking strangely familiar) are Stella & Gus from Bugaboo Stamps, coloured with Pastel Green & Blue ProMarkers, Stella has green gem spots on her dress & they both have silver glitter-glue hair. The backing papers & hearts are punched from the Basic Grey Kioshi collection.

Donna's Den - Challenge 3 - It's a Man's World

Over at Donna's Den our challenge this fortnight is "It's a Man's World". This is my DT entry and a card for my Little... well ... younger Brother! I'm the Munchkin / Oompah Loompah of the family when it comes to height (or lack of!) whereas my brother who's 18 months younger, is a good 4 metres taller than me...no exageration!! I've used the fab digi's of Lewis & Gillian in their beach attire from Prairie Fairy to depict us both, coloured with ProMarkers with a decoupaged hat & rubber-ring. Glazed highlights, with pearls & gems from Prima E Line as pebbles & a starfish to finish...all simply mounted onto bazzill cardstock in shades of orange. The prize on offer this fortnight is 2 sets of stamps by Jane Netley Mayhew.

I lied...Sorry!

I know...I said there'd be no more...but these are the final 3 of my recent Moving House card requests, although I've had another order today...Eeek! I've used the beautiful Lighthouse Digi again from Tiddlyinks that I've used before but this time I have created 3 different times of the day scenes with my Adirondack alcohol inks that I got from Inkylicious. Judie at I Just Love Crafty Mess told me I wouldn't be able to make do with just 1 or 2 bottles and she was so right...! For each card I used -
Card 1 - Day Time - Sail Boat Blue, Pool, Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange & Silver
Card 2 - Evening - Sail Boat Blue, Pool, Watermelon, Sunset Orange & Silver
Card 3 - Night Time - Sail Boat Blue, Pool, Purple Twilight & Silver
